We stayed at the Kingfisher after spending a very busy 2 weeks travelling around Sri Lanka for our honeymoon. We wanted a nice place to relax for a week at the end and Kingfisher certainly provided exactly what we wanted and more! The location was great: bit further down the beach away from the noise. Rooms fantastic: much better and...

We stayed in the Kingfisher two nights, we arrive late on Thrusday, the place is located on the beachfront, which is great, and the room was really good. At the beggining, everyone was so nice, but suddenly, half hour after our arrival, the staff requested to pay our stay, which is wird because we didn't have any advice from booking...

We had a horrible stay at the Kingfisher Hotel recently. The photos of the hotel all all wonderfull and it really does look very relaxing. Thats what we expected and saved up for for a long time. But we had reserved 12 nights there and after our first three nights with no sleep due to loud music from the parties...

A late lunch became even later when we waited for nearly 50mins for our meals. We waited for some time for our initial drink and that was it...no more drinks offered. Main meals were afequate but not of a standard that you could expect for the price. Disappointing.

This is a small, 4 rooms, charming hotel. Ask for room 1 or 2 on the top floor for the view. The personnel is exceptional, courteous, friendly, smiling. The food is excellent (less than 8E/ main dish), Duminda the chef/owner even prepared lobster and crepes Suzette! for our anniversary, the beach chairs, umbrella and towels are all included, the beach...

A gorgeous restaurant by the edge of the bay with warm and friendly staff, the ambiance is relaxing and quite romantic if you happen upon it in the late evening. The food is excellent with an array of house specials and even a kids menu. Portions are just right maybe even a little too much and very tasty. I had...

My partner and I stayed here in August for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, spacious and cool with an ensuite (through quirky saloon style doors!) The staff were very friendly and happy to help if we needed anything at all (including organising our whale watching morning). Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone...

We spent 5 days here in the well equipped and stylish room. There is a great beach view from the balcony. We found it a great place to relax, swim, walk and explore after 8 weeks of traveling. The staff are wonderful, happy, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. A lovely place to dine sitting at tables on the...

Great location on the western side of Unawatuna beach, which i think is the best beach in Sri Lanka. Great for sunbathing, eating/drinking/ watersports etc. and very clean. The rooms are very simple but just perfect for this style of hotel and a laid back beach holiday. Beds are comfy and big. Bathrooms are big with good shower (but no...
