Unforgettable! The place is totally immersed into the real wild african nature. The sea and beaches are immense. Our rooms were so spacious, confortable and with any kind of services. The staff is nice, kind and available Excellent intercontinental food. (fish for majority) The restaurants' details are an african terme. The Karafuu Beach Resort and Spa is studied in all...

We just returned from a week at Karafuu Beach Resort. Everything about the outside of the resort was just beautiful. The room was clean, although I did hear other other guests saying otherwise. We had electrical outages a couple of time during the week we were there and on two occasions we had no water. Apparently the excuse was this...

We stayed in February for four nights at Karafuu after having toured the Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti areas on mainland Tanzania during an excellent 7- day safari-program. We were seven family members (three generations) who went on to Karafuu on the east coast of Zanzibar, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere there after a hectic week on the mainland. Karafuu...

Spent 1 week in December 2016 at Karafuu on the fully inclusive package. Although the view of the ocean is magnificent, that's unfortunately where it ends. The food is very basic and after 3 days it becomes a bit much. The fully inclusive package includes local drinks and not all cocktails. In addition, only boxed wine was available. I could...

After having and amazing time on safari on the mainland of Tanzania, my husband and I were looking forward to relaxing on the beach on Zanzibar for a few days. We were very disappointed with our experience at Karafuu resort. Our room was OK but looked like it could use a bit of basic maintenance. We had problems with our...

I was in Zanzibar with my son for 9 nine days. The hotel is lovely and very clean. Our bungalow was clean and orderly. The staff was professional, gracious and hospitable and were anxious to please. The kitchen staff were very considerate of dietary requirements, in our case, kosher food. I do not know if I would consider this hotel...
