An excellent choice for slow days in the sun. The spacious bandas (bungalows made from local materials) are placed right by the ocean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beach is endless and you'll most likely feel more like Crusoe than a tourist walking it's empty sands. Low tide is, as for most places in...

Our family of 4 (husband and me, two children ages 8 and 11) spent three nights and days at Emayani before Christmas. We can't say enough about the incredible stay we had - it was a highlight of our vacation in Tanzania such that we wished we had spent more time there. It is on a secluded, gorgeous beach that...

Set alone upon a beautiful endless beach with only seven enormous well equipped sea facing thatched cottages. No TV and hit and miss WiFi, though that's seems to be the point. The airy rooms so designed that the two fans unecessary during our stay.Though each evenings the rooms were sprayed and elaborate mosquito nets provided we noticed very few mosquitoes....

We had a nice lunch here after scuba diving and snorkelling with Kirsten who ran the dive shop on ushongo beach. She was a wonderful women with a passion for turtles and the environment. She invited us to watch turtles hatching on the beach which she had rescued from the island in the bay. This was a secluded very natural...

Went on a 5 day trip with African Traits tour company, run by an excellent guide, Godfrey Willy with our second stop at Pangani. This place is amazing! We started in Arusha, drove up to Lushoto in Usambara Mountains (also incredible), and we were in awe when we saw this beach side lodge. We were greeting with cold fresh coconuts...

This was such a fun experience for us....from being greeting with fresh coconut water, to the creative setting- it was like nothing we've ever been to. It's right on the ocean and you can see and hear the ocean from your rooms! It has a fun African flare to the decor and it's all very open and it feels like...

We stayed 5 nights here as 2 families and absolutely loved it. The rooms were stunning with a constant gentle breeze coming through the open windows. The food was wonderful being mostly locally sourced. The service was excellent with staff being very attentive and nothing too much trouble for them. The pool entertained the kids no end. The beach was...

We stayed at Ushongo Emayani beach lodge 2 nights. It was an adventure to get there by car, the road from Muheza to Pangani was in a bad condition, lots of villages blocking the road and asking for money on the way (we did not give anything), then we had a long wait to get the ferry from Pangani. When...

For the third time we have stayed at this lodge on a secluded beach North of Dar Es Salaam. The accommodation is simple, with open rooms cooled by sea breezes, a diving centre next door (Kasa Divers) good wholesome food and polite and courteous staff.
