Arrived in drought struck Dundee worried about whether we could shower due to lack of water. Very pleasantly surprised, Clivia Place has a borehole so we had an awesome shower and enjoyed the glorious lush garden with its 2000 clivias and lots of bird life. We enjoyed a delicious oxtail at the Royal Country Inn who also make an excellent... More

We spent one night at Clivia Place, following a superb tour of Isandlwana, Rorke's Drift and Fugitive's Drift. Tony and Tish were wonderfully accomomdating, booked us in at a lovely restaurant in town, and the breakfast the next morning was delicious. The cottage was extremely comfortable, secure, and away from the main house, affording us privacy. We also cannot recommend... More

Clivia Place was just what we needed. Tish provides everything you need for a peaceful stay. My husband Rob and I felt as if we were in a garden of paradise. The sound of birds singing in the morning was music to our ears. Taking a morning stroll with coffee was my favorite way to start the day. We had... More

What a pleasure to have spent the two nights at this Battlefields marvel. Clean, well managed, loved the garden and enjoyed the slumber. Made us most welcomed. The historic reviews and the secrets of the battlescenes. Loved every moment of the stay. Keep it up, Gogo and Mkhulu! From Mandla Mathapuna.

Very comfortable accommodation that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We stayed in the cottage and found all the necessary attention to detail most welcome. Anthony and Tish were charming and helpful hosts. I don't think you will find a better guide to do the Battlefield tours with than Anthony. He's passionate about the history of the area. We all thoroughly... More

We stayed here for three nights in the lovely garden unit with two en suite rooms and central kitchen/dining area. Lovely breakfasts by Tish. We spent two days with Anthony on his Battlefield Tours, which he covers with feeling and in great detail. Highly recommended.

Had a tranquil and relaxing two day stay in the cottage. It has everything you need , is very clean and has a comfortable bed. We found Tish to be warm and helpful. She keeps a most beautiful garden, you can't ignore, and provides an excellent and hearty breakfast each morning. Like others, we were in Dundee for one of... More

I was just checking the reviews while making another booking to stay and I could not believe the last review. Obviously some grumpy old dame! I stay here whenever I have to work out of Dundee and it is an absolutely delightful place to be. I spent 4 days there at the beginning of November and what a pleasure. I... More

Having read the previous reviews I am hesitant to put down my own opinion, but reviews are there for a reason, and I really have to be truthful. Firstly I have to say that I am NOT reviewing Anthony's battlefields tours. We were in Dundee for an event at the local Talana Museum, which is an amazing place incidentally. This... More
