When we first showed up, I was a bit dubious because we couldn't see the cabins from the road and the park is hidden behind trees. But when we saw the 2 bedroom unit, it was a wow factor. Although it was a bit pricey, the cabin is modern, with a big lounge/kitchen area, relatively big bedrooms and bathroom. After staying in cramped conditions, this was luxury! Has its own courtyard, next to your own carport. It gave us a chance to unpack and repack the car.
Has a full kitchen, including stove, so we were able to cook our own meals.
Walking distance to pub and little grocer.
Laundry is the next block over. Staff are very friendly. Very well worth the price!

We had an amazing stay at Gemseekers Caravan park! The staff were lovely and helpful. The park was almost full and it was heavily rain and we were staying in swags, so the staff moved somethings around to ensure we were comfortable in a cabin. We had 2 adults and a 16 year old and we felt really well accommodated. The amenities were fantastic and clean, the hot water was amazing after a long day of mining.
The pub is 5 minutes walking distance away along with shops, cafes and the gem galleries.
On our first night there was a fire which had a fantastic atmosphere, where we could toast marshmallows and play some of the guitar.
We will definitely be coming back in the future.
Thanks again everyone!

The gemseeker is a caravan park but also has a cabin and a family unit. We stayed in the cabin which is comfortable and clean. There is a fridge, hotplates and microwave with all necessaries to have a meal at home. At dusk some kangaroos come and visit the park and the local cows are free to roam in the village. It is very well located in the Gemfields and we had a great few days.

The rudest most shocking customer service I’ve ever experienced. When I called to book, I was told it was $17 a night more than the website says they charge, which I agreed to anyway. Then upon arriving, I was charged an extra $37, not $17!
I then asked to buy a bag of wash but was told he doesn’t have them. I asked where the fire pit was. I was snapped at, “no, you can’t use that!” I told him the wifi wasn’t working, and he rudely told me “yes it is!” i said in it’s not, we can’t get it to work and he said it works fine at the office and there must be black spots in the cabins! I said your website really needs to be updated then as it says you have all of those here. He said “well don’t stay here then”! I had already paid by then, and was on my own 5 hours away with 2 kids, so I had no choice but to stay.
We then saw the kangaroos they feed there and my 14 year old and I were watching them from a distance and the minute I walked back to get my phone/camera, the same guy came out and yelled at my son to get away from there! There are no signs saying stay away, and he was only about ten meters from our cabin, next to a caravan, on the driveway!!!
Don’t stay at Gemseekers if you have kids, you’re under 60, you don’t like being talked to like crap, or you expect what they tell you on their website to be true. You are not welcome and you will very much be made to feel that way! And their website is total bulls#*t!

Owners are aggressive and rude, they hate and constantly swear at children. This isn’t a good place for families or anyone that wants to be treated with dignity and respect. They water down the hand washing liquid in the toilets, so if you’re coming, bring your own. One of the worse experiences ever.

Lovely park on the edge of town that is also close enough to walk to the local for a great meal. We shared a 2 bedroom ensuited room that also had kitchen facilities and covered parking. Rooms were a good size and comfortable. Reverse cycle air con kept us warm and the good size fridge kept our food cold. The lounge was a little old and uncomfortable but otherwise a great stay in a lovely, well kept park. The visiting birds and wildlife are a wonderful addition.

Just spent 9 nights in the family cabin at Gemseekers and had a wonderful time. Terry and Rowey are great hosts and with the current pandemic Terry had done everything possible to protect his guests with social distancing of vans a priority. He has also been very strict on any vans coming from areas where the virus has been. His help an experience of the area and gem seeking was again most helpful.

We stayed at the "Gemseekers" caravan park for 2 nights in a 1 bedroom cabin. Cabin was ok but needs a freshen up, staff are great and helpful. It's a small park and suited to the older people who like to relax and enjoy the quiet. You can do a little fossicking at the park, camp kitchen was ok. The Wallabies come in at Dusk for a meal, Handy to the town center.

Stayed here 2 nights and the owner Terry could not be more helpful. His advice from where to get your bags of wash to getting a sapphire cut made our first visit to the gemfields perfect. Unit was very clean and comfortable and the wildlife outside our door was enjoyable to see.

We were made to feel welcome by Terry at checkin. He guided us into our bay with ease. Terry was knowledgeable and helpful in our search for sapphires.
We were invited to Terry’s birthday 🥳 party and again was made to feel very welcome it was like catching up with friends.
The park has a large fire pit (wood is supplied), a gem wash area, tonnes of birds and friendly little wallabies that come in each night for a snack.
If you are looking for a small and friendly caravan park, you won’t be disappointed.
