We travelled with our caravan stayed for 2 night there, it was a lovely park with plenty of room, would recommend this park to anyone travelling out that way. The caretakers Lyall and Trish were amazing assisting you with information about where to go and nothing was a bother, made you very welcome. Lyall was always busy keeping the park in tiptop condition which included amenities, swimming pool and park area. Thumbs up to the both of you. WELL DONE!!

We stayed two nights here on a powered site. Our site was lovely and shaded whilst being close to the pool and amenities. The amenities are super clean and the laundry very functional. Great selection of books at reception and bags of wash available to purchase with a sieves supplied on request so that you can use the on-site Willoughby and tables to sort. The pub was not doing meals on either of our nights stays which was disappointing as we were keen to spend our tourist dollar in the town. I would definitely recommend staying at this park.

What a beautiful little caravan park in a lovely setting next to the town common and opposite the pub that serves great meals. Lyle and Trish the managers do a wonderful job to make you feel very welcome even showing you how to sieve and wash your bucket of miners “wash” to find those sapphires. Clean gravel sites with concrete slabs for your annexe and nice shade trees for most sites.Excellent clean facilities and even a swimming pool. Good hosts contribute a great deal to your camping or caravanning experience and Trish and Lyle are up there with the “best”. Definitely recommend this park and Trish and Lyle wherever they may be. There are only 2 cabins.
Ours had a queen size bed and 2 bunkbeds.
Everything looked very clean.
Beds were comfortable
Wifi was good.
While sitting on our veranda we had visits from some Lorikeets who liked fruit eating out of our hands.

The so called Towncentre was 2 min walk but not much to see.
There was a Pub and an austrian bakery with yummy apple strudel but also very expensive.

We only stopped in Rubyvale because it was too far to drive to our next destination.
If you are into fossicking this is a good place to visit we were a bit bored
people were friendly

On our way south with friends we originally planned a stop of 4 days. That quickly grew to 7 days. By the way, stay 7 only pay for 6. $31 a night power and water is good value. Mick and Vanessa are great hosts and nothing was too much trouble, Mick even set up a camp fire for us to do a camp oven dinner. Lots of local information, a cool dip in the swimming pool at the end of a hot day, walk to the pub. All in all a very good caravan park. Would recommend to friends. Will come back again.

Lovely small park that was close to pub. Staff were helpful and able to provide information about activities in the area. Sites easy to access and shady. Facilities very, very clean. Hot showers and laundry facilities. Book exchange available. Would stay there again.

Owners are very accommodating and diligent, Grounds and facilities are first rate. Woke to find horses in the common at our site, and they were all to obliging to trade carrots for pats. Plenty of birdlife. They have bags of wash and a good wash station and happy to demonstrate the process.

Well run and maintained park with all the facilities you need. Bathrooms, gardens and pool are all kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
Easy walking distance to shop and the pub.
Lyle and Trish made us welcome from our arrival, helping with parking the van and teaching us some of the finer points of fossicking right in the park.
Can’t recommend highly enough and will stay again next trip.

Awesome caravan park stay in our motor home. Very friendly owners and in a lovely setting. Road ways and path are properly finished with gravel to keep the dust down. Everything was clean, tidy and well cared for. Good amenities and just across the road from the pub. Lovely pool for a quick dip to cool off.

Lyall and Trish are an amazing couple who were our hosts during our stay.
My better half and I stayed for two nights, when originally only staying for one but the facilities, grounds and ambience were faultless. The pool so very inviting.
Bill and I bought a bag of wash and I’m not sure who had the most excitement out of our sorting, whether it was us or Lyall 😄. So excited were we at our wonderful sapphire findings that we bought a second bag!!!
Fabulous people in a wonderful setting.
A happy, joyful and laugh filled stay.
Thankyou Lyall and Trish
We totally recommend this park and a trip to policeman’s knob, the volcano that started it all.
