We stayed one night only but had a great time. In the off season Oct to Jan, the gem places closed early (3.00 pm) and so we had time on our hands. But this was not a problem as we went for a dip in the pool and were serenaded by apostle birds. The garden is well looked after and...

My husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom unit for 2 nights towards the end of our trip to Western Queensland. We stayed in cabins or motels every night during our trip and this would have to be hands down the best place we stayed. It was so peaceful in a wonderful setting we did not want to leave....

We couldn't believe how well this place is setup. Here we are in the middle of the Gemfields where there are many temporary and shabby buildings. Not so here, the facilities are first rate, everything is clean and well maintained. The gardens are lovely though I am told this can be somewhat dependent on the rainfall. They even have a...

We enjoyed our stay in one of the lovely cabins. We found it very comfortable, quiet and well equipped. Jane was lovely, and eager to help/advised. We will certainly be going back. Hopefully we will be able to do some fossicking as it was overcast and wet while were were there. We have been recommending it to people we speak...

We stayed in a one bedroom, self contained chalet. Everything was clean and comfortable. I liked being over the road from some bush and the little creek that had recently been in flood and spent an hour wandering down it. Our check in was smooth and efficient although I kept getting distracted by the beautiful jewellery that Jane and Michael...

My Mum, Cousin and I came to Rubyvale this August to visit family and booked in at the Rubyvale Motel. We were so pleasantly surprised by what a great facility this is. Jane is a lovely, warm and friendly host and the rooms (holiday units) are ideal. They are not just clean, tidy and comfortable but are inviting, practical and...

We have been visiting Michael & Jane's lovely place for the 4th time within 8 years and are amazed it is so well taken care of it still looks like brand new. Lovely peaceful setting & landscape, nothing but nature's sounds around and bright stars above at night. The holiday units are well built, never even needed to use the...

Hands down the best place I stayed during a 2 week outback Qld road trip. All the facilities you need from kitchenette and table and chairs, to one of the most comfortable beds you'll ever sleep in. Add to that the free wi-fi, swimming pool, and onsite observatory along with Jane the super friendly host, and this place is definitely...

We were pleasantly surprised to find our large unit had a separate bedroom. The unit was well appointed with cooking facilities and a large fridge. Nice lounge setting and outdoor furniture. The bathroom was big and contained everything we needed. The motel has a nice looking pool, outdoor BBQ area and very friendly & helpful hosts. The Jewellery shop at...
