The cottage was lovely, the layout very well thought out and everything you could want was provided. The cottage was also beautifully clean. The cottages are very easily accessible from the A9 although we were never disturbed by road noise. There is lots to do in the surrounding area although it may be better to visit later in the season...

Ok - short version of a review that I could wax lyrical on for a while.. The website, although very good, doesn't do this place justice. One of those rare times you turn up and it's much, much better than you thought it'd be. We hired the main luxury 4 bedroom Fernlea House for 4 days during late February 2017....

We had a lovely weekend staying in Birch Cottage. It has a lovely big bedroom and an extremely well equipped kitchen. The large porch area was perfect for all the usual clobber you take on holiday! We were walking and cycling near Laggan so it was a perfect location. Would definitely recommend it.

Located perfectly next to the Dalwhinnie distillery, but quiet enough away from the main road. Very clean and lovely cottages. Owners are very supportive and cheerful. And we loved the fireplace, the BBQ, the views, the falls nearby, etc, etc.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 nights st Fernlea Cottage to celebrate a 70th birthday. Three generations stayed in the cottage from age 1 to age 70 and we had a fantastic time. There is not one thing we can think of that the cottage is missing or can improve upon. We even managed sledging at the top of the Cairngorms...

Had a great week in Elm cottage - clean and well equipped. Excellent location for walking and Falls of Truim minutes away. Very quiet and peaceful but only 20 minutes drive to Aviemore. Dog friendly. Loved the visiting ducks each morning.

Easy parking. Well equipped, a little cold until the fire gets going but then it's lovely and cosy! Take cash, the electricity is paid in £5 cards put into an honesty box. Amazing views from the lounge.

My friends and I recently had a long weekend here and it was perfect. We brought our dogs with us and we were treated by the owners and dog treats for our tired pups. We stayed in the Douglas Fir cottage which had 2 bedrooms and was an ideal size for the 3 of us. The cottage is perfectly furnished...

“Ash cottage - huge super king size bed, enclosed garden which it shares with two other cottages. Great for dogs and kids. Elm cottage - had its own enclosed garden which over looked the wee loch - gorgeous views. Smaller bedrooms compared to Ash. ”
