We (family of four)stayed for two nights at this wonderfully sited hotel. The reception we got on arrival was very welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and wll decorated. The family room was perfect for us and the bathroom was clean and had loads of soap, shower gel etc. In the room we had tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits.... More

Best thing about this hotel is undoubtedly its location, and it is also moderately priced by UK standards. Rooms are comfortable and quite spacious (especially the sea view ones) but the decor and finish is a little dated and sometimes (notably on the balcony) well past redecorating time. Food is competent, but really unimaginative, and although we expected there to... More

In May 2016 I made a short trip to Broadstairs to go house hunting. I booked The Botany Bay Hotel and was very pleased that I did. I have stayed in many hotels both in the UK and abroad over the years, but few have been perfect. I have to say I could not find a single fault with The... More

Great location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Our room was facing the back but very nicely finished, great bedding, towels, tea / coffee making facilities. If you ask you can have fresh milk in a mini flask. Room was clean, soap products of high quality. We love the location - a good walk into Broadstairs or Margate, seeing all the... More

We stayed here with our two teenagers in a large family room in the roof. Our room had two single beds and a large double, two large TVs, sofa, desk and dressing table and stereo. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely bath ( the deepest I've ever been in) and a shower. Plenty of wardrobe space, we felt really... More

Visiting family In Broadstairs, this hotel is a bit off the beaten track and quite isolated but, as a result provides stunning views and walks. The rooms are very clean, a bit dated but comfortable apart from the lumpy pillows. The hotel offers a bar and restaurant but no other amenities Breakfast was good, with a good choice, but my... Receptionist a bit abrupt at check in. Called reception and nobody answered to ask a question. Called again the next day to request another roll of toilet paper as they only left us one they said they would be right up - never arrived. Nice room good view disappointing service.

We have visited the Botany Bay several times - it is a convenient location for us and we enjoy the ambience and the sea views. However, the service in both the bar and the restaurant leaves something to be desired. Breakfast orders are slow, never served together (ie. one member of party has finished breakfast before other dishes arrive); there... More

Stayed here overnight with my wife on our Silver wedding anniversary. Lovely hotel, room very nicely finished and well appointed. Bathroom very nice, bed comfortable and fantastic view over Botany Bay, you can see why this hotel is so popular as a wedding venue. Bar really nice, good choice of beers. Food ok. Unfortunately my wife's fish pie had bones... More
