We stayed in one of the large corner rooms with balcony and so had a truly amazing view to enjoy. The rooms are lovely, bed was great. The restaurant is big and does decent food. Breakfast was excellent, good choices and fast service. Sitting outside with a drink in summer was a treat. The only downsides were the refusal to...

A nice potition by the sea with plenty of parking. Very popular eating place by the amount of people about. I was taken there for a birthday weekend. My daughter's rooms where very good. Although I was booked into as a single the bed was large but the room wouldn't have been adequete for 2 people. It The food was...

Stopped off for a quick lunch while walking the coastal path. The restaurant was not particularly busy, several empty tables, well empty of people but they had not been cleared from previous customers. Our order was taken fairly quickly but had to wait more than 10 minutes for 2 glasses of wine and over 45 minutes for our lunch to...

Our son got married here last month. Everything - the ceremony, food, rooms, ambience, staff were all fantastic. It was a perfect wedding - many of us stayed overnight and had breakfast together which was also very good. What a fantastic location, right on the seafront. Well done to all at the Botany Bay for making this very special day...

Thought I would see if things had improved since my last visit! Sadly NO! Totally understaffed. Customers were having to clear tables before they could sit down. One member of staff behind the bar serving coffee and other drinks and, eventually, clearing tables. I overheard one couple saying to another how much the place had gone down recently and the...

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel - for some reason I expected it to be a bit run down, but it is well kept and clean. The room had country style wooden furniture and was cosy. Bed wasn't that comfortable but I've had worse. Breakfast was extremely good, great choice, well cooked. It's a bit of a walk from...

This hotel/bar/restaurant is in a cracking location but that is where it ends. I waited 20 minutes at reception to check into a tiny room - the bed was reasonably comfortable - but I felt like a giant in a tiny room - I could barely fit in the shower. Staff seemed disinterested in everything. I ordered a fish pie...
