Large room, log fires, friendly staff & great views. Good pub grub.historic photos of yesteryear. Hand pulled river ferry. Warm & plenty of hot water. :) Mold on ceilings, wood-chip wallpaper worn out bed & 1980's grey bathroom suite :(

We brought my elderly mother here on a short visit to enjoy lunch in a unique and beautiful setting. Booking by email was very easy thanks to an excellent website The four young people who were on duty could not have been more helpful. They happily opened a side door so Mum could walk straight in from the car park,... More

Very dated needs a lot of tlc? In a lovely spot but not a lot going for it, breakfast was good and morning staff were very nice. Bed was comfy and clean but the room was old fashioned and lots of damp marks and very poor repairs.

After checking reviews and the Inn's website decided to have lunch here after walking in the area. Only to be met with an A board outside the inn stating that they are not open lunch times. Very frustrating. It does not take much effort to keep web pages up to date.

As you can see we rarely respond to reviews, but as this one is factually incorrect and could potentially damage future business. We run winter hours during November, December & Jaunary they are clearly advertised via posters in Inn, website and Facebook. We are not ‘Closed’! We are in fact closed Monday & Tuesday lunchtimes & Sunday evenings only now. More

Booked here for Sunday lunch. A little taken aback at the £3 car park fee but this was waived as we were customers. We had a table by the window overlooking the river which was great as we could watch all the comings and goings. The food was delicious - I would recommend the local roast beef with all the... More

Stay here... beside the river, great for walks, running, good food, good staff, good beer. What's not to like I travel all the time, hotels normally 2-3 days per week. It's not 5 star, but really worth a visit.

Great location but room was very tired and in need of some general attention. Toilet seat was almost disconnected, TV did not work, "long life" milk for tea etc. had clearly exceeded its very long life....and was unusable, not even stamped with an expiry date. Breakfast was good with excellent friendly service from the more mature "smiley" waitress and very... More

This pub with rooms has lovely views of the river Wye from the pub and the bedrooms but it all seems a bit scruffy and in need of a good tidy-up both inside and out. Cheap fixtures and fittings in the bedroom either did not work or fell apart (kettle, towel rail, shower head and the toilet would only flush... More
