The parador of Cambados is a charming luxury hotel in the centre of the lovely village of Cambados. Among all Spanish paradors it is not a very expensive one, probably by the fact that Cambados lies in a relatively undiscovered area. It is situates in Galicia at the Atlantic coast some 40 kilometres Southwest of Santiago the Compostela.

Elegant and comfortable hotel, best location at the sea front, only a few steps from the old town center, good restaurant with fresh local dishes, free and easy parking. One of the best relation price-value you can get. We would alway come back.

Overall this was one of the most enjoyable Paradors we have stayed in. Car parking is plentiful, our room at the front was superb with a good view, the restaurant was most attractive, dinner was very good and reasonably priced at 26 Euros and breakfast was the usual feast. The public rooms were a little dark and needed better lighting.

Paradors always seem to be so welcoming and this one was no exception. On arrival we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite and this was vast with a large sitting room as well as a big bedroom. We had our welcome drink out in the courtyard which was very relaxing after the drive from Santiago. Breakfast was... More

In the heart of the town, a good looking building with private car park to the front. Our room was perfectly ok slightly dated but very acceptable.Bathroom similar. All usual amenities, air on effective and quiet. Public rooms are typically parador and the service is generally good. Swimming pool is ideal after a day sightseeing.

This world renowned wine festival in early August is an absolute must if you are in Galicia. An amazing atmosphere, fantastic Albarino wines to taste in front of the Parador de Cambados. The entertainment in the evening is brilliant on the main square with well known Spanish and Spanish speaking stars singing. The procession of the guilds is worth it.... More

This was my first stay at a Spanish Parador and my expectations were high. Unfortunately it didn't deliver. Our room wad on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard so had small windows which we didn't open because of the fact that people were sitting out there. Also, the room was small and a/c didn't work. We booked half board so... More

This building only dates from 1965, but you'd be forgiven for thinking ist was 300 years old. The Parador has a feeling of grandeur. the rooms are very good, the service excellent. Cambados is a small town, but quite charming and the food is very good.

From arrival to departure this Parador could not be faulted. Every member of staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Everything was perfect. The room overlooking the pool, the breakfast and evening meal, wifi, car parking. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

If you are a non smoker and offered room 206 ,do not take it! It reeks of stake cigarette smoke AND the air con doesn't work. Also , it overlooks an outdoor courtyard/bar area. Last night at 11pm a drinks reception started in this area with 100+ very loud guests. We tried closing the windows and shutters ..,, but the... More
