I loved this place but not as much as i wanted to, the location is stunning & very remote but the decor is a little oppressive. I think they've gone for masculine but edged on sinister. If you're travelling outside of the summer months, try not to think of "the shining" too much. We were very early season so maybe...

Dear Mr. Lollybird We regret during your stay with us we have not met your expectations. It is a shame this impression of our place, probably was due to the climatology because we are in a spectacular environment. Based on your comments we plan to undertake improvement actions in our facilities that we will carry out in different phases from...

Fantastic place to stay after 24 hours on the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander ! Great location - superb views to mountains and lake. Huge room with space for a seating area & table - decor fitted the building !

This is a beautiful Parador wonderfully placed in relatively close proximity to the Ferry Ports of Santander and Bilbao so a wonderful stop off for the night before travelling back to the UK, just 84 miles. We had a superior room which was huge with beautiful views out from the balcony down onto the lake below. Could not fault its...

We have stayed in this hotel before, for single nights, but on this occasion, we stayed for 5 nights. Our big disappointment was that the menu was identical every night, and we were forced to go out, and seek alternative restaurants, which was not easy in this relatively remote area.

This is a great example of a hotel in a great location with excellent service and reasonable accommodations. It has the feeling of a old country house with beautiful views all around. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious for European standards. The breakfast was included and it a a complete breakfast. Overall a very good experience.

This Parador (like most in Spain) is very well situated in the open countryside above the town of Cervera de Pisuerga. It is isolated so only come here for the breathtaking views and the quiet environment. The service at the Parador is excellent and the meal "deals" are worth paying for. Good cooking and tasty local dishes. The room was...

We chose this Parador as one of the stopovers between Madrid and northern coast. Our first stopover was in Burgos and we had plans on traveling through the Picos and visiting Fuente De along the way. This Parador was just an hour and a half from Burgos and provided another day of relaxation. The views are really the biggest draw...

This is quite a modern (by Parador standards) hotel, with great views of the mountains and the reservoir. The rooms are quite spacious, with small balconies attached. The general standard, of furnishings, amenities etc is, as expected, very good. We found staff to be friendly and efficient. Would heartily recommend it.

On a driving tour of Northern Spain and stayed here with six other couples.Lovely location and views with a great drive from Santander to get here. Although set in great countryside no short walk available direct from hotel unless taking car. Rooms very spacious and staff at bar and restaurant very attentive with excellent choices of local food..

A brilliant place up in the hills and out of the way. Lovely atmosphere with unbelievable views. Make sure u book a room with the view it's worth the extra €20. Old fashioned and no air conditioning but very beautiful and atmospheric. The food is well priced and very traditional. In all a must if your in the area.
