This is THE place to be seen and to see when you visit Lübbenau. A beautiful castle, beautiful grounds, and an elegant garden cafe. We went for iced coffee and cakes on a beautiful summer day and very much enjoyed ourselves. Service was brusk but standard for this region.

I've just had the pleasure of spending the weekend at the Schloss Lübbenau to attend the wedding of some lovely friends of mine. What a wonderful experience! The building and grounds are beautiful, the rooms elegant and comfortable and the staff friendly and extremely helpful. The wedding day itself was joyful with delicious food and plenty to drink! The staff... More

The hotel is a renovated castle, near the water. Fine views and walks around the grounds. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent, too. Secret: the off-season rates make it a steal.

We visited this hotel after wandering around Lubbenau and taking a boat tour on the Spree. This was the perfect rest point .Quality tea and cake beautifully served in an elegant room.No more expensive than very ordinary cafes in the town.We did not find the town particularly friendly but this cafe was the exception .First class. Such an interesting history with... More

Everything about this hotel was wonderful: food, hospitality, beds, spa. The setting, a grand castle set in a park nestled in a small village, is charming and presents many options for exploration and activity. One can bike, hike, kayak or just relax in a canal boat. You will not need a car, as everything can be reached by foot or... More

Staying in a castle is usuall connected with a special feeling. Even on a cloudy day the castle looked impressive. I loved the feeling of the past in the lobby. Steps and coridors are full of old pictures and photographs and the common room and restaurant in the basement are nice and inviting. I stayed on the 3rd floor -... More

We spent three glorious nights in the Schloss Lubbenau. The rooms were attractive and well-appointed. We enjoyed the lavish breakfast spreads and had an excellent lunch in the restaurant. The hotel's spa was delightful, and the sauna was free of charge. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We could not have asked for a more relaxing stay.

This place is really nice. It is located in the middle of a huge park in Lubenau, Spreewaild. I was staying with my friends for two nights and it was totally great. My room had the view to the palace where they hold weddings. I actually joined (watched) a wedding there from the garden restaurant. The sun in June shined... More

This was the third year in a row. The hotel is very nice, it's only a little over one hour from Berlin, in a former palace surrounded by a huge park. It's located in the middle of the Spreewald where you find lots of places to rent kajaks so that you can spend hours paddling through the canals. Only problem:... More

A very large family owned castle turned hotel, with a dramatic history. Unfortunately the hotel needs substantial investment in facilities, staff training and quality before warranting a top class classification. Our room was in a building separate to the main castle (converted stables?), with a fair walk to the restaurant - luckily the weather was good.. The bathroom was pretty... More
