Awesome place overlooking Hornberg. Rustic charm with a castle for added exploratory value! The food was delicious. Their chef is fantastic. You can take the train to neighboring Triberg - free with the hotel pass - or explore the Black Forest in any direction from this quiet, picturesque hotel. A true gem.

One of the things we really wanted to do while in Germany was to stay in a castle. I know I know .... cliche. But hey .... wenn im Schwartzwald ..... you do cheesy things like stay in castles and buy cuckoo clocks ... By the time we got to Hornberg from Füssen, we were pretty frazzled. Our first impression...

Let s say that the only advantage of this hotel is the nice nature around it and that it s clean. Many of the people working in it are rude , the internet connection is terrible , + cause the building is old your neighbour who wakes up to go to the bathroom can wake you up too... No fridge...

hotel a little 'old is not very well kept, clean the quickly made room, the room where they are and spacious with a great view of the valley of Hornberg. Internet fast but only give free access, it does not seem correct, if you want water you have to pay, better to go to the supermarket it costs much less....

I spent a night here during my trip around the Black Forest. The room was quite small and old, but clean, so I would say good, I was in a Castle! The dinner was good as well, thinking it was german. Staff very polite. I really suggest this place if you are here around

We arrived at the hotel later than the advertised check-in time and they were very accommodating. After placing our belongings in our room, we ate dinner in at the hotel. The food was very good and the wait time wasn't very long. Our room was spacious, but the bathroom was small. It was fine for us, but if you have...

A group of us have just returned from a 3 night stay here and this is a Hotel that we would definitely want to return to. All of the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful! In fact the owner - Carsten was kind enough to make a call for us to the local Police after one of our party...

I agree with an earlier reviewer that the receptionist/owner was not very friendly however the rest of the staff were fine. As the hotel is high above Hornberg the views are very good. It is an old building that has recently been restored but the large room we had had the smallest bathroom possible (see photo) it could easily have...

On arrival a frankly rude receptionist insisted we choose our evening meal before we checked in and fill out pages of forms (mainly not in english) with all our personal details - after a long drive from the UK all we needed was a rest and a beer! - WARNING there is no lift here so if you have heavy...
