I have very high expectation when it comes to eat... and at the Hotel Stern it was amazing! Incredible breakfast and buffet, delicious meat and desserts. Everything done with passion and attention to the combination of flavours. Last but not least an axcellent choice of wine! The ambience was very familiar, Irene and Flo make you feel at home!

The staff at this hotel went the extra mile to make the stay outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble from the reception desk, bar staff, restaurant staff and chamber maids. The place was spotless. They all knew our names and even spoke to us when we were out in the town. The spa had 3 types of sauna, 2 steam...

The most impressive element is the family Schweiger - high class people, excellent managers. Their touch is felt in the quality of each corner of the touristic site. Complete endowment of the hotel, restaurant, spa area. Excellent location for skiing on various slopes of the Amade area. We traveled in a group of 5 families (10 adults, 8 children aged...

We thought the wine list expensive. The spa facilities are superb and the cleanest we have enjoyed anywhere....just the thing after a hard day walking in the mountains. The Gastein Valley is more restrictive than other parts of Austria, but easily enough to...

Excellent culinary food, a wide selection of breakfast items, the daily ´Jause` was the afternoon highlight before resting and getting ready for the evenings 5/6-courses dinner. Spacious rooms, an outstanding wellness area covering various sauna alternatives, fitness center,...

We have just returned from our 6th trip to this hotel and as always it was fantastic. Professional and friendly service. The rooms are spotless, wonderfully comfortable and great bathrooms. Fabulous food. The new spa is heaven after a day's skiing. Looking forward to our 7th stay.
