Not the best place in the island but many people like come to party here. Warm welcome from staff “Akkhani” is the one to take care of my group. Don’t expected for good service but not bad. Good taste for A la carte I recommended deep fried mackerel with fish sauce. The beach is nice clean clear water white sand Long Beach many activities that I can choose. Over all is good, for sure I will go back again.

Fine room and bathroom, a/c worked well, good shower and TV. Cleaning was done daily in the morning to a fair standard. The reception was very friendly otherwise the other staff are not rude but not very interactive, everything seemed to be a chore! Breakfast was basic with limited choice but OK. The location is its selling point, right on the beach and about a 15 min walk into the town. Good value for the price.

Sadly the reviews about the staff are true. My GF and I decided to sit and have breakfast here. After sitting for a short time, I decided to ask a waiter if I could order. Island service can be slow and I am well aware of that so I asked a waiter in polite Thai if I could order. He raised his hands and voice and quite loudly announced in Thai 9am. To be honest, I wondered why he raised his voice. As I stood there shocked at the response I looked at the time on my phone and it was indeed 9am. Needless to say we left and never returned. TBH I cant believe the hotel keeps such bad staff. I was going to complain but the fire in the guys eyes warned me against it. Samet does have a problem with bad staff in general but keep searching and you will find a place that is tasty, willing to serve you, and overall safe.

Good location by the sea - unfortunately let down by the staff who were some of the rudest people we met - the staff would barely acknowledge you and it seemed you were a massive inconvenience to their day - be warned
