Firstly, big shout out to Ae, Nuung and Add. The friendly staff could not have been more helpful during my stay. Three assets right there to this resort.
Convenient location only 30m to the beach and a short walk to many of the beachfront restaurants. They have bicycles, inflatables, life vests and dart board all free to use. A wash station is available to use before returning to your room. They also have a small minimart onsite with all those necessities you may have forgotten and a well stocked fridge.
I was allocated room no.1 which is the best room for water views but the trade off is being right next to the road. Traffic is at a minimum after 9pm but I was so exhausted from my daytime activities I had no problem sleeping. The large balcony area affords water views for all 6 rooms on the first level but rooms 1, 2 and 3 are the better picks. Each room has a table and chairs outside their room.
I've stayed in many rooms around Thailand and I find it difficult to fault my room in any way. Comfortable bed, clean linens, aircon, cable TV (1-200 channels), lighting, free minibar, wardrobe space, safety box, everything was excellent. Then there are additional touches like hair dryer, power board, shopping bag, extra pillows, flip flops and chair.
The bathroom was adequate size with separate shower recess. No problem with hot water system and good water pressure plus exhaust fan.
Breakfast was ordered from a menu which complemented a buffet with coffee, juice, toast, fruits etc. On my last morning it was raining so the buffet was set up upstairs and your set meals were brought to your table outside your room. All part of a 5 star service.
Overall, Green Bay made me feel totally relaxed. If Sai Kaew beach is your preferred destination on KS then I thoroughly recommend Green Bay, whether your solo (like me), a couple or a family with kids.

Upon arrival Aek the concierge welcomed us with a drink and wet hand towel.... the information she gave was extensive and very helpful.
Throughout our visit she was there, like a little busy bee, helping, organizing and generally made our stay wonderful.
The room is lovely, clean and many small luxuries like a kettle, coffee and a fridge... small things but it makes an added value 😊
Breakfast was really good, caters to both Thai and western....
very close to the beach

We had a very good stay at the hotel.
Nice, clean and comfortable bed. The breakfast had what we wished for.
Mrs Aek is the most lovely hotel attendant you will meet. So helpful and nice. She is absolutely the reason for us to give best grade!
The hotel is just a few steps from the beach and you can borrow fins and watertoys from the hotel for free.

I live in Pattaya and recently visited Ko Samet with my girlfriend for a mini-break.
I work worldwide and have travelled extensively to over half of the countries of the world.
My Thai girlfriend, picked the hotel from reviews and tried to ensure that my needs were catered for, as I can be easily annoyed with delays, heat and incompetent staff etc.
2 weeks previously, we had visited Ko Chang and stayed in a resort which was more expensive, and had delays, inattentive staff and long walks to the very poor breakfast and beach etc. which did not impress me at all.
However, this resort was a breath of fresh air and was excellent. From the moment we arrived, the extremely nice lady at the reception (Act) gave a detailed description of the room and the rules /timings for breakfast etc. along with excellent advice on where to go and what to do.
The room was well appointed, not very large, but had all the required facilities and was restocked with water, drinks and snacks each day.
The resort is 30M from Sai Kaew beach which is a very nice sandy beach with many restaurants. We were advised to try a restaurant on the beach (The Kitt and Food) with a 10% discount voucher (for the first visit) and had a couple of excellent dinners / lunches there. My Girlfriend is Thai and loves seafood and although I am not so keen, i really enjoyed the seafood there.
We tried the breakfast on the first day and I must say, I was very impressed. Totally unlike the Ko Chang experience of boiled eggs and a few cold items (which i only bothered to go to once). Green Bay Samed resort had a good menu choice of 2 items and salad, coffee etc. which we made sure we had every day, as it was excellent and freshly cooked. The staff were all attentive and happy / smiling which made the breakfast experience memorable rather than just functional.
We were given great advice for the next day trips for sightseeing and Act organised the taxi for us, and advised where to go and where to eat. We were also advised which 'Fire-show' to watch, and I must admit, it was the best one i have ever seen, anywhere. The restaurant that it was at, had mediocre food, but it was worth it for the show.
The following day saw us a little worse for wear (after a few too many drinks the night before), and we relaxed by the resort pool for a couple of hours, which is small but clean and we had a very nice lunch at the resort. That evening we went to watch a sunset at a hotel, (advised again by Act) and, as she had advised another couple, we shared a taxi and halved the cost. Again, another very nice meal and a beautiful setting for us to take some pictures.
The last morning we took pictures of the sunrise at Sai Kaew beach, and we enjoyed our last breakfast before checking out and taking the fast ferry home.
I cannot explain how much all of the staff (and particularly Act) made us feel welcome and provided a first-rate experience which was way above the cost and expectations. I am almost always disappointed in some way at every hotel/resort, be it staff, food, cleanliness, waiting or some other issue, yet at this resort i had no complaints at all.

Convenient location. Almost in the center of the island. It seems to be away from the noisy shopping center, but within walking distance. It doesn’t seem to be on the beach, but it’s nearby across the road. The rooms and the hotel itself have everything you need for a vacation (including free subs, mats and beach towels). In addition to free water in the room, snacks and juice in boxes are a bonus (renewed daily during cleaning). Responsive attitude of the owners towards the guests. Breakfast may seem monotonous, but hot food is available upon order and there are several types of it. Plus the presence of a coffee machine for breakfast is a rarity for hotels in Southeast Asia in recent years. There is a small shop at the hotel. True, it’s open until 7 pm and the prices are a little higher than at 7/11, but it’s very convenient to have it at hand, given the island conditions.

We stayed here with our son and his wife. We spent New Years eve here and what can I say the staff put on an excellent evening for all guests with food, drinks, games and entertainment. All guests attended it was a fantastic evening. The staff were extremely helpful, the place was spotless and it was directly on to the beach. It made our stay on koh samet perfect.

We stayed for 2 nights booking the day before our arrival.
We had a room at the back of the resort which was completely adequate for our stay. The room was a little dark due to it being along a corridor with not much light. It didn't spoil our stay but for a longer stay and not last minute I would book the front rooms which had a terrace with chairs and looked towards the beach which was lovely.
The room had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable as were the pillows.
The breakfast we lovely everything freshly cooked and as much as you want.
The staff were fabulous couldn't do enough for you.
The position at the quiet end of the beach is fantastic, you just walk along to get to the restaurant and fire shows.
A definite stay again place 👍

I had only positive emotions from my six-day stay in this small, cozy hotel. I was impressed by the almost homely atmosphere created by the attention and care of the staff. Cleanliness, daily wet cleaning, good breakfast menu, free rental of SUPs, kayaks, and children's swimming equipment. The sea is nearby (the downside is that there is a road with a sharp turn and an incline right at the entrance, be careful). Construction of a swimming pool on site is underway.

One of the best hotels i have been at. Not big, not luxuary but the atmosphere and kindness is worth much more than that. Very service minded. The location is great near the beach. The rooms are very clean and lots of free water toys to borrow like SUP and canoe.

Room without outside light, the window overlooks a corridor. Noisy at night, close to bars and a road. Pleasant and available staff. The location is close to the beach and many restaurants. High price for this type of hotel
