Ate at the restaurant and was so disappointed. Appetizer were good but main courses (pasta) were really bad and so was the service. Ordered drinks that weren't on the menu (regular espresso martini) and were charged 700 baht each, which is ridiculous. Most expensive dinner we had in Thailand (4700 baht) but with the worst food and not even deserts...

It all depends on what your expectations are: we loved staying by the beach, this probably is the nicest part/nicer beach on Koh Samet. Loved sitting by the window in the room/view from the balcony (even though it was a basic room). Not my fav. room or bath, but that did not matter. It was super relaxing & comfortable anyway....

We stayed here in early November and were surprised, but pleased, to enjoy a quiet few days here at a time of low occupancy. Speedboat was a great way to arrive and depart. Although the hotel was a little dated, our room was spacious enough and had a wonderful sea view. The breakfast buffet was ordinary and less than four...

All the huts are unique and individual; there is plenty of space for the kids to run around and lots of wildlife which was fun; the beach is glorious and the restaurants nearby are nice although no real gastronomic delights. a fun experience.

The resort is a little aged and service level sucks! Multiple emails were sent during the booking on some questions but none was replied! Feedback to the manager during check in and She showed a darkened face and brush it off! I hope the management have a word with the lady manager on her attitude. Food was bad and expensive....

I've booked 2 rooms for my family. First the lady at the check in wanted to gave us two rooms totally opposite of each other in the resort. Finally we got the 2 rooms at the 4th floor (deluxe hillside). Outside overall maintenance is not so good than downstairs. The rooms are nice, with a private terrasse. First view is...

I would recommend to take a bungalo with a beach view rather than pay more at Vimarn. First Ao Prao is located at the end of the beach so there are no cars passing on the road, second Vimarn doesn't have rooms directly on the beach, third breakfast in my opinion is slightly better. Pool is great, dinners with table...

It is a philosophically discussion, if this place is too expensive or the quality is too low for the price. We stayed a week in the Ao Prao Resort on the island Ko Samet. The beach and the hotel with the several restaurants are nice. The staff is helpful and also nice. The rooms are big and OK but need...

Just finished four nights here in the Horizon Suite (room 100) and we had a lovely stay. The hotel is set in lovely gardens full of butterflies, little lizards and other wildlife which really make for a special tropical setting. The beach is really nice and although I had read reviews about rubbish on the beach we saw nothing major...

We had a great time at Ao Prao Resort. The room was lovely and we had a great view of the sea. The staff were friendly and professional. It was quiet and relaxing. The pool and beach areas were nice and the massage was excellent. We will definitely return to this resort.
