I came to koh samet alone, with a lonley planet guide in my pocket, walked in the baking sun with my heavy backpack untill one of the locals stopped and gave me a lift on his scooter for free, nice surprise :-) im rating this place excellent because of the hospitality of Lizzie. in some other reviews i think that...

we had a dream about a Thai bungalow on stilts, with the sound of gentle waves and views to die for. We had read all the reviews and were prepared for " character." What we found was delightful, beautiful and charming. Friendliness and good service; tasty food served with a smile and a laid back gentle mind set that was...

Baan Puu Paan is absolutely gorgeous. This boutique hotel stands on stilts and is located somewhat away from the main vibrant area of Koh Samet. However, to get to the city only takes about 4 mins motorbike ride. Have you ever tried waking up in the morning, hearing the splashing of the sea waves against the rocks and birds chipping...

This place is in a dream location, but it all turned into a nightmare for me. BPP is found a long way from the ferry port, 20 minutes walk past barking dogs. From the other complimentary posts, i expected a warm personal greeting, an exotic room with perfectly prepared food. Instead i had to wait for 5 minutes before the...

Well from reading all of these reviews it appears that BPP is either a love it or hate it kind of place. I can confidently say that I am definetly a LUV IT kinda person. I find it hard to believe that anyone can find faults with this quality resort. The rooms are clean, very nicely decorated (and painted) and...

The first thing is the location, if you have no motorbike rental, you must pay 150 Baht for a Truck taxi, which is s HUGE amount of...

Stayed at Baan Puu Paan for over a week around the Christmas period and enjoyed every moment of it. From day one Lizzie, the owner, showed the most amazing hospitality, nothing was too much trouble for her or her staff. Life is so relaxed there, the bungalows are lovely with lovely big decks and amazing views. The food is excellent...

Stayed at Baan Poh Paan for just over a week and loved every minute of it. Lizzie and the staff made us feel so welcome, nothing was a problem for them. They were always available to give useful advise, lend us books, provide us with extra towels, whatever. Food fabulous, from breakfast in the bar to dinner of the pier....

A friend and I decided that we needed a break in the sun and decided on Thailand as the sun is pretty much guaranteed there, our only stumbling point was where to stay, until we discovered Ban Puu Paan and the wonderful Lizzie! The minute we read the various (good) reviews on here and saw the pictures on Facebook, we...

I moved to Bangkok last year and after a couple of months I had to get out of the busy city for a couple of days! Koh Samet is close (just takes 3-4hours from BKK) so I decided to go there. A friend told me about Baan Puu Paan and I called on my way over there to make a...
