My friend and I stayed here in when we were traveling around Thailand. We had quite low standards as we were interested in traveling on a budget, and were very happy with our stay at Naga Bungalows. The bungalows are very basic, basically a wood...More
Stayed here back in 2009...seems to have gone downhill since then. The fan room is okay but a table and mirror would have been nice as there is only a bed in the room and at 800 baht I feel is very overpriced. There are...More
Pretty small size cocktail if you don't take the bucket. While we had a few during happy hour the day before, it was okay size for a very cheap price. But the day after we got this unbelievably tiny cocktail for the same 80B
Can't speak of the bungalows as I didn't stay there, but we went to Naga Bar for some drinks last Saturday. A mistake - we got drugged!

I have been in two minds about Koh Samet and Koh Chang, I have only two days to spend on either of the islands. I will be coming from Bangkok and I think Koh Chang is more far compared to Samet, Can you tell me which is a better idea? I am really not into parties , I would like to have a cheap stay and spend some alone time by the beach. I dont want to spend too much time and money travelling and on the island. What's your recommendation? Thank you for your help

Hi! I have never been to Koh Chang, but if you are looking for a cheap stay then I I would recommend Koh Samet. It's been about 3 years since I was there now, but as far as I remember I paid very little for my bungalow. There are always parties happening at bars but I don't think it would get in the way of spending some time on the beach alone. I'm not into partying either and I had a good time. Hope this helps!
