Had Sunday lunch here today and it was excellent , we both had pork, the meat was great with a great choice of veg and lovely gravy, good choice of beers . When we are up in Brecon area next we will defiantly pop in to this place again.

This was our first visit to the star with its new owners, having visited many times over the years it is one of our favourite pubs. We went for Sunday lunch and the food was lovely and plenty of it. Great atmosphere and staff hope it works out for them will definitely go back.

Very friendly, a real pub, welcoming, lovely Christmas tree, pleasant walk on the road from the youth hostel, interesting thin house nearby !, local shop didn't seem to stick to its opening advertised hours, beautiful walks round here

The Star is situated in a very nice village with a canal running behind it, and seems a popular pub with a decent range of ales. A selection of 6 - Malt Starry Nights, Dark Star American Pale Ale, Roosters Eighty Eight, Orkney Red Macgregor, Thwaites Lancaster Bomber & Oakham Inferno. The number of pumpclips on the walls show how...

Visited twice as this pub was a spit away from our holiday rental mollys cottage. Bar has a good selection of beers, food also good. It filled up very fast on the Wednesday evening on which we ate, no vacant tables after 30 minutes.

The Star Inn is just fantastic. Great food, great beers, great welcome, great location, great beer garden, great atmosphere. Currently up for sale so hope the new owners can continue to the fabulous offerings when Ian and Anna leave.

It was a beautiful day in wales, the bird's we're singing the sun was out,but the star was certainly not up to much. If you mean you consider ''much'' as a disgusting, shambolic rats nest. In my experience I have witnessed so many unpleasant visits to plenty of unappealing ''dives'' and your outlook on good staff and high cleaning standards are...

Visited a few weeks ago on a lovely summer evening and sat in the garden for our dinner. We both had steak, I had mine with just salad, my partner salad and chips, both had peppercorn sauce. Steak was absolutely lovely and cooked to perfection even though we had them cooked differently. And I was given a lovely size salad...

.......... I first discovered this little gem some 12 years ago, whilst killing time while wife did business. I eventually got to show it to her and just in time, apparently it's closing in the next few weeks, and it feels like it. It still sells a fairly good range of draught beers from far & wide, but I did...

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local. It was 6:00 when we arrived at the restaurant. When we got there, we were told that they were expecting party of 20 at 8:00, and there would be no food available until then as they were preparing. We therefore left and went elsewhere. Rather abrupt.
