Certificate of Excellence
Imagine being greeted by the gentle ocean breeze and swaying Takamaka trees just a step away from the beach, where stunning views of the Indian Ocean stretches as far as the eyes can see. Feel the natural elements blend together as you float across the water garden dotted with stepping stones. Located on the pristine island of Praslin, between land and sea, lies an extraordinary Botique Hotel. The Dhevatara Beach Hotel is a Beautiful Beach Front Botique Hotel, offering 10 individually styled and designed Suites providing the amenities a modern traveler expects. The hotel pays tribute to the Seychelles cultural and historical background through the choice of styles and materials: in fact we find African, Victorian, Indian and Nature inspired touches reflected in the Suites decor: just like the Seychelles.

This very small luxury boutique hotel in Praslin is just exceptional. With only 10 rooms you have a very personalised service, very attentive and helpful. The beach is superb and the rooms are very modern and tasteful designed with a very unique feeling. Small pool but very quiet

Thank you for your rewarding review and for acknowledging the high level of our service. With regards to our concierges, I found your statement a bit unfair as if you read the other reviews, you will realize that lots of Guests are praising them. After investigating the matter, it appears that there was one thing you did not understand. When you travel in a foreign country, you have to adapt yourself to the life style of the country. Whether you like it or not is not the issue, this is the island style of this country and all of us have to bear with it. One day , you booked a join boat excursion with a pick-up at 8:30am. The thing was that the driver had to fetch some other Guests from an other hotel who kept him waiting as they were not ready. As a result, your pick-up time was delayed to 9:00am. I don't think that our concierges can be blamed. One day, you asked us to book a Tour Guide with a Club car On La Digue Island. the thing was that the port Authority block the access of the jetty until the full disembarkation of the arrival passengers. As a Result, your Guide and his Club-car took time to reach you. It would have taken maximum 10 min to get your Guide but you did not want to wait. The hotel had to deal with him with regards to the cancellation fee. I don't think again that we can blame our concierges. On your last evening, you personally asked me to book a taxi on Mahe to fetch you from the airport to your new hotel. I personally confirmed this booking to you. The next day , when you arrived at Praslin airport, you took another flight which left 30min earlier than the one you were originally booked in. Bye the time you advised us, it was impossible for the Taxi to reach you on time as he was at the other side of Mahe. Again, since the hotel committed itself on this booking, it has bear the Cancellation fee as well. I don't think also that we can blame our concierges Just a little patience for your side would have made your life much easier. This said, it was great to be at your service and we hope that this patience issue has not tarnished you stay with us and that you will keep fond memories of our country. We are looking forward to the pleasure of serving you again in the near future. Sincerely, Rene

Are there any beach activities like kayaking available. What is the snorkelling like off the beach?
I went there in the month of September. during that season the beach is full of seaweeds so you cannot do any activities. You should enquire with the hotel about the seasonal seaweed conditions and then decide. But the hotel arranges transport to other beaches during such a season. To me the best beach in Praslin was Anse Lazio.

Hi, i'm a fan of Dhevatara. i would like to know if the last week of March is a good time to go regarding seaweed? Thanks, Tamonwan
We leave in Seychelles and know that March and April are very hot and there is no seaweed. Seaweeds are affecting us from may to November in Grand Anse. So March is normally normally good month. However with climate change, it is nowadays difficult to predict the weather.

Hi, we are thinking of spending a week on this island during Christmas 2016. We are wondering if diving is better here or on the main island? why? Many thanks in advance.
Main island Mahe has marine park like baie ternay and sainte Anne island for snorkelling, so that s better
