We had the most wonderful stay at the Dhevatara. We were upgraded to the sea view suite which was so nice. The honeymoon package was worth getting and included a delightful, romantic candlelit dinner by the sea. The pool is gorgeous and there is a great beachfront right on the property. Francis and Marianna are especially great staff members and made our stay very memorable. We came from the UK so had to quarantine there for the first few days and Francis sorted out all the testing to get us released and ready to enjoy the rest of our trip. We’re so grateful to him! Also special mention to the taxi driver they use, Andrew, who is excellent. Thank you for a wonderful first stay in the Seychelles Dhevatara team!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the kind of place you should really keep a secret for next time, but also want to share the wonderful experience with others. We were fortunate enough to be recommended this boutique hotel, by a relative living on Mahe. And an amazing recommendation this was. GM Rene Squires and team went above and beyond to make our short stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Luxurious room, in actual size close to a large suite, with many fabulous amenities, looking straight at the beach and the sea. Extra hidden treats were in store for our anniversary too. A beautiful in-house dinner, accompanied by great wine (a very good selection to choose from) and service second to none. We arrived late and were leaving early but nothing was too much trouble for the staff, including night porter and kitchen (we were still served up a breakfast at 5:30am due to our early departure!). Highly recommended and will go back if we revisit Praslin. As well as the fabulous Rene we must give a mention also to Kuber (cocktail waiter), Abilish (front of house / Maitre D), and Maria (our server in the restaurant), sadly I did not capture the night porter name fully but it began with ‘B’ for sure...…
We spent quite a long time on the Seychelles as this was our first visit and we wanted to experience 3 different types of Hotel. We started with the Dhevatara and loved it! We stayed in the Orkid room which is about 50 metres from the beach. We were expecting to be bitten by mosquitos but weren't as they apparently spray the area. This made it really easy to sit out at night on our porch listening to the sounds of the sea. It did rain quite a lot whilst we were there but thats not the fault of the hotel and it was rainy season, The room was immaculate and whilst the cleaners were a bit hit and miss on leaving soap and bottles of water, the rooms were always spotless (which is the most important thing) We went half board and ate in the restaurant every night. The chef is fantastic. Out of 20 different dishes I think we had only one that we didn't like. Everything is cooked to an extremely high standard. Rene the GM was a star. Extremely friendly, chatty and knowledgeable and was very keen to understand our views of the Dhevatara and asked us to appraise his hotel once we'd stayed in the other two. He has nothing to be concerned about. His hotel is extremely well run, and extremely relaxing. The only small negative is that the pool is tiny but as the sea is on the doorstep it doesn't really mattter. Would definitely stay again and stay longer than 4 nights in this fabulous boutique hotel.…
We loved this 10-suite hotel located on the Grand Anse beach on Praslin. Our first floor room ("Coco De Mer") was towards the back but still had partial views over the pool and single storey block in front to the sea. It was spacious and well equipped with a huge comfortable bed and large bathroom with separate walk-in shower and bath. Decoration was quirky but tasteful with Coco de Mer cushions and a tropical stained glass window. Air conditioning (essential in this climate IMO) was very good. Wifi was slow and intermittent (in common with the whole island) and TV options limited (but who cares in this location?). Breakfast, served on the verandah next to the pool was very good. Service was excellent from all of the staff, who could always organise taxis and tours (a boat trip to Curieuse is strongly advised). The outside area is lovely with a good sized pool leading out to some loungers and on to the spectacular Grand Anse beach. This boutique style small hotel feels laid back and just luxurious enough. …
A lovely hotel set on an unspoilt beach. The restaurant isn't great. They need to concentrate on the flavour rather than the presentation. It's also expensive. Almost £20 for a Croque, outrageous. The breakfast is good. There are a couple of restaurants a short walk down the beach if you want a bit of choice. The pool is really lovely! The sea isn't great and there's lots of weed. But it didn't spoil our visit. Go for a long walk down the beach. It's well worth it. Service was friendly and helpful. A couple of guys in the restaurant were great. The young Indian guy in the bar was exceptional. Also the chap on reception was so helpful. There's absolutely no management though. I spotted him once in 5 days. So there were odd issues. Tables were left dirty from morning to night. Toilet roll wasn't replenished in our room, The Wifi is appalling! Seems like we had some issues but we did have an amazing time and we would go back.…
