We stayed 6 nights at Colibri, and truly feel it was one of the best stays we’ve ever had (and we travel a LOT). Every aspect of it was top notch. From early communication, to the wonderful reception upon arrival. From the AMAZING views you will find all across the immaculate property, to the clean and gorgeous rooms. The super-relaxing pool (and its contrasting blue-turquoise colors with the bay underneath), to the beautiful restaurant with fantastic breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. What stands apart no less, is the level of service received by all staff members, front desk, restaurant, cleaners, even gardeners. Everyone was always smiling and kind, offering to help in every way. During these times of covid-19, Colibri has fully prepared every corner of the property with hand sanitation stations, its staff are always masked, and temperature is taken in accordance with local guidelines. We felt 100% safe, and that was important to us. I must make mention of what we considered was a fantastic deal, which included half board, and even car rental. No need to look for restaurants in the evenings (especially nowadays), and the choice of starters, two main courses, and desserts each night was perfect. The car was even delivered to our doorstep, so no need to go anywhere. Finally, location-wise Colibri is perfect. Steps away from the jetty, with ferries to/from Mahe and La Digue. The airport is conveniently 20 mins away. Famous areas such as Côte d’Or and Grand Anse are just 10-15 mins away, and the gorgeous beach Anse Lazio is just 25 mins away. Although without a sandy beach, Colibri’s waterfront is gorgeous nonetheless, with greenery and fish of various colors and sizes just meters away. For good swimmers, snorkeling could be very enjoyable. For divers, the 3 clubs are all within 10-12 mins driving. The one I dove with was White Tip Divers, and they were excellent. Finally, we want to give special thanks to Beverly, Bikesh, Roshan, and all the staff that greeted us so kindly and took great care of us each and every day. Thank you again! We stayed here shortly after the Seychelles opened up for tourism from countries with high rates of Covid-19. The hotel had good Covid-secure processes. We also found they were really accommodating when we arrived 1 day later than planned due to Covid-19 travel requirements from the Seychelles government (we originally booked our trip before the pandemic). The staff were all very friendly and looked after us - we had to have dinner at the hotel without any booking on one evening when we couldn't find an open restaurant on the island (Covid-19 means that almost all restaurants were closed on Praslin in October 2020). Our room was beautiful, with 2 private balconies and efficient air conditioning.

All in all I had a very relaxing stay. Nothing is better than coming back from work to a quiet and peacefull villa with gorgeous sunset views over the mountains of Baie ste Anne from your balcony. My favourite view was from the infinity pool, amazing! Let's not forget the delicious taste of creole cuisine by local chef and fabulous presentation of the plates, wonderful! I really enjoyed the octopus curry and the 'bouyon bred'. The staff were very welcoming and well attentive, helpful and friendly. The place is very ideal for family vacation. I would like to thank the staff and management of Colibri guesthouse for the wonderful stay. I hope to come back soon for a vacation with the family.

It’s a 5 minute walk. The path is quite steep in places, but is all paved with a few steps. Provided you can carry your suitcase rather then rely on its wheels then it’s okay. It isn’t particularly well lit if you were to use it in the hours of darkness, we just used the torch function on our phones to illuminate the darker bits.

Schildkröten habe ich auf der Anlage nicht gesehen. Auf der Anlage gibt es ein paar Hunde und jede Menge kleine Echsen, letztere auch im Appartment. Strassentiere? Wenn damit streunende Hunde/Katzen gemeint sind: Habe ich dort nicht bewusst wahrgenommen (Auf Mahe schon).
