We loved this off the beaten path tropical oasis! The drive up the mountain is spectacular and the property is a fully mature rain forest with ferns the size of trees and bananas, coconuts and avocados growing outside the windows. The natural sounds of Koqui and other forest wildlife was very relaxing. The property is convenient to several beaches (The...

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Sue's place. She welcomed us personally and drove with us to find her home. Her place is fully stocked with everything from bagels and cream cheese, to coffee, to a rice cooker. The house is lovely and located in the midst of a beautiful rainforest, complete with all the...

Our family, two adults and twin 8 year olds, stayed at Sue's place in the Loft for three nights. This was exactly as we had hoped, and everything the photos online had suggested. Sue's place is about ten minutes by car from an incredible beach, restaurants, and stores in the beach town of Luquillo. It is also right on the...

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of December. It was a unique experience! As others mention, meet Sue in Luquillo and follow her up the first time. My favorite part about the place is the sound of the coqui at night. It is so loud but also relaxing at the same time. If you like dark you...

Sue's rental is really hidden, so accept her at her word that best to meet her as directed and follow her in for your arrival. We stayed in The Loft and were very pleased with the overall experience. Granted, there are a few shortcomings, but they all are part of the ambience of staying in the rainforest. If you are...

We've just returned from our third adventure in Puerto Rico and our third stay at Sue's Place. If you're looking for the most relaxing, accommodating and comfortable place to stay on the eastern side of the island this is the perfect place! The house (loft and chalet) is beautifully built on the side of the mountain just outside El Yunque...

We loved feeling like we were nestled right in the rainforest. The vibe was mellow and campy, which was just right for us! The porch hammock was rarely unoccupied and we were only a short drive from the beaches. Who could ask for more?!

I will start by saying that the forest is not for everyone. If you cannot deal with some bugs or the sounds of the Forrest this place is definitely not for you. I stayed with my wife two nights in the loft and I would have stayed longer if it would've been available but unfortunately I did not reserve the...

This was our second trip to Puerto Rico and decided that we wanted to stay in the rainforest for a couple of days since we love the outdoors and the tranquil sounds of the coqui frogs. After much research, we decided that we would stay at Sue's Place and it was the best decision that we could have made. Sue...

Sue is such a lovely woman. Bob, the surfing instructor, is so cool. They made our stay so pleasant and chill. They were accommodating but gave us space to just be. The loft was a cozy little home for my fiance and I. We had to buy our own groceries, tidy up the place while we stayed there, do and...

“The loft is for two people and worked fine for us. The Chalet has three bedrooms and three decks, I would stay in the Chalet next visit becuase it has the best views.”
