Nice hotel with a casino , disco, and 2 restaurants attached. Looked like mainly Dominican food in the restaurant on 1 side. We ate in the Chinese place Jades on the other side. Good food at a reasonable price. Rooms were clean but lots of work going on at the hotel so definitely construction noise. Be careful to inventory your... More

under my room was the Disco. This kept me awake until 5am. then at 7am tradesman started work right outside my window. I had an absolutely terrible night here. There are many other places in town that are so much better. Do not stay here.

When we checked in , the lobby is nice and clean, the first room was not nice. Some issues with the lighting and the room was just uncomfortable. We asked for another room, which was a little better because it has a light that worked. But we end up going back down and checking out. Didn't seem like a safe... More

I stayed at Matum on a business trip to Santiago. The hotel may seem more of a good value than it actually is: inadequate furniture for the rooms, taking too much space and blocking windows, loud AC unit, hallways that feel more like a hospital than a hotel... Could be better.

So let me start saying that it's not the best hotel but it's not the worst. Definetely not for big families or for persons with special needs (wheelchairs, elderly, etc) or for people that want to feel like an hotel of $300 a night when you pay $68. This place is for couples or singles that want to have a... More

I've stayed at Matum Hotel & Casino several times over the past few years when in business in Santiago. Rooms are good size and clean but value has decreased with quite an increase in room rates. Our room had two queen size beds. Decor was simple but pleasing to the eye. Mattress was comfortable. Unfortunately, the room was too cold... More

A good( not excellent ) 2 star hotel on US terms . Typical with smaller hotels in Latin America . You call make reservation agree on a price and when you get to the hotel the price changes . Exactly what happened in this case . The guy who made the reservation agreed on $51 including all taxes ( twice... More

We were a group of three visiting Jade. We were sited at the end near a game room for kids. I do believe this is a good idea, but it does need rules. There was kids screaming and yelling with no control. We had to asked to be moved to another table. I asked a few questions to the waitress... More

Started ok. Nice front desk and concierge which directed me to nice little eatery on the right. Room was old style but shower was poor .. leaks all over. The deal killer was the thumping bass music from 12am all the way till 530am .. it was nuts. Stay away unless you want to boogey all night in bed.
