First time visiting PEI and we were looking for a reasonably priced option on the beach that would accommodate our family of four with a dog. This cottage exceeded all of our expectations. Although more on a rustic side, it had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stacked and beds were very comfortable. We were welcomed by Blaire and he provided all the info we required and left us to enjoy our vacation in peace. The beach is not like other more popular spots and is very secluded and private, so you get to enjoy the shoreline all by yourself on most days. When the tide is low, you can walk quite far, where the receding water leaves shallow pools on the beach, trapping crabs, fish, and shellfish. Our kids enjoyed exploring the ponds and we even saw a small stingray in one of them, which was a delight on its own. When the tide is high there is a fishing spot within walking distance, where you can fish for striped bass. We found the waters to be the warmest of all we tried around and we were able to go for swims on sunny days. The cabin's porch is facing south-west, so we got to enjoy beautiful sunsets almost daily. If you are looking for luxury- that's not it. But if you are looking for cozy tranquility - that's the spot for you!

My boyfriend and I wanted to stay in a quiet place by the sea during our week's vacation on Prince Edward Island... We were pleasantly surprised to find that all our selection criteria lived up to our expectations !! In addition, the owner of the cottages, Blair, was very welcoming and available at all times to respond to our requests!! If you like dogs you will be delighted to be surrounded by Maggie and Elli who are real sweeties!! Located just a few minutes from the Confederation Bridge, it is the perfect place to discover other regions of the island or even New Brunswick!! Clean and comfortable facilities!! And if you are as lucky as us you might meet some very charming neighbors!! In conclusion, we highly recommend Maggies cottages both for the beauty of the landscape and for our host Blair who made sure we had an unforgettable vacation!!! Thank you very much Blair for all your attention which made our stay with you moments of pure happiness and memorable memories which will remain forever engraved in our memories!! And if one day we decide to return to the island, rest assured that our first choice will be yours!! Looking forward to seeing you and your lovely dogs again!! François and Evelyne August 2023

Maggies Cottages is my favourite vacation spot. The Cottages are well maintained, clean and comfortable. The view is absolutely beautiful, the beach during the day while tide is out is the best place to be. It is so fun - hammocks, beaches, bonfires are a few things Blair helps all his guest enjoy. He is the absolute best host. Always there if we need something, always willing to help and so friendly! His dogs are also super great hosts very friendly and welcoming to families and their dogs as well. The cottages are close to all stores you need, the location is great. About 20 minutes to grocery stores etc. I would recommend Blair's cottages (aka Maggies cottages) to everyone. We return every year.

Didn't actually to stay here. Got the number from Tourism PEI
I called about a cottage rental for two families. 2 adults, 2 children and 1 adult, 3 children.
I asked about 3 night stays and rate per night. He said he only usually would rent weekly but if we stayed 4, we could accommodate us.
That is until he heard we have 3 adult and 5 kids. Very rude tried to hang up. I told him we would stay 4 nights with 2 cottages. Said he wasn't interested.

We really enjoyed our week at Maggie’s Cottages in PEI. Blair was a terrific host and a lot of fun.He even shared his meal of bar clams with us! His dogs were adorable! Our 2 dogs loved the freedom and their long runs on the beach:). Great ocean front view and a perfect location from which to explore the island. We hope to return one day!

Blair was very nice to us and we spent an awesome week there. The private access to that red sand quiet beach was, i think, the best part of it. We spent some really good time just enjoying the sun and swimming in the warm ocean. But, because of the wifi, flatscreen and the gas fireplace we really did enjoyed the few rainy days we had too. I would recommand that place to anyone!

Blair greeted me the moment I arrived, while social distancing, with a big "Welcome"! I was required to isolate for 14 days as I was home visiting family from Ontario, and Maggie's Cottages was the perfect place to do it! I never once got cabin fever. The cozy cottage, wonderful hospitatlity, the view of the Confederation Bridge, the sunsets, the sound of the waves at night, and the beautiful coastline, which I walked almost everyday, made it very difficult to say "good-bye". It was a lovely stay, and I sure hope I get to do it again next year... minus covid-19 of course.

Vacation dates 27 Sep - 5 Oct 19 - The amazing hospitality/generosity received from the cottage owner (Blair MacDonald) has exceeded my expectations. We travelled down through the night and he allowed us to get into the cottage early (there was no one before us). He is so kind, so sweet & just so accommodating. It is my birthday week and I wanted fresh lobster. He went, on his own time, and got us fresh lobster from the fisherman AND cooked it for us. I had a lot of questions through emails, prior to arrival and he answered them right away and was very patient with all my questions. The location is perfect and central for doing a lot of things in PEI. We went to the most northern part of PEI and got home before supper. I am already booked for next summer. He lives right on the property and you wouldn't even know he was here. He is generously well priced compared to other properties in the area and I feel right at home staying at Maggie's Cottages. Even the dogs are loveable! I have already mentioned to my family that we could actually all vacation together down here because of the way he has it set up. The other thing that makes me really happy is that it is very close to Confederation Bridge, another bonus. I can see myself spending more time here in the summers with being retired now. This is my home away from home! I highly recommend Maggie's Cottages. Come stay with him, you will be glad you did!

This was our 4th year at Maggie’s Cottages and a busy one. We brought the whole family (17 total). Blair accommodated all of us and entertained the troops! As always his hospitality goes above and beyond! His knowledge of the Island very helpful and he is always very tolerant!
Cottages and Lodge are well maintained - clean - and fully equipped! Feel right at home! Nothing beats the Ocean view, perfect private beach access - hammocks - trampoline - swings. Simply the best. Highly recommend !!!
