I don't know if this is mean-spirited to leave this review, but I'm doing so because it might be helpful to others. I think the issue for me here is, everything's relative, isn't it? Because if the twin room I'd had was £60-65 I think I might be writing a different review. I chose this over a b&b of about...

Comfy beds and pillows, very quiet location, delicious breakfast. Everything was spotlessly clean. Great views over the marina to the mountains of Skye. Thank you Heather for a great service. Highly recommended.

The condition of the room was excellent as were the public rooms Ideally situated on the front and overlooking the harbour our room had an superb view and we even had binocullars provided. Little touches like a caraf of whisky, dressing gowns were a pleasant surprise. Needless to say the staff were friendly and helpfull. The Moorings has got to...

This is a really lovely Bed and Breakfast. Heather, the hostess, gives you a warm welcome and the rooms are really nice and very clean. There were some great little touches, like a decanter of whisky in the room so you can have a nightcap. Very comfortable bed and my room was beautifully quiet, despite the guesthouse being full the...

I stayed one night here as a connection to Skye. Single room was ideal, everything I could need plus a surprise extra, a whisky sampler on the tea tray for a good nights sleep. The host, Heather, was very welcoming and helpful, despite the fact I woke myself up in the night by accidentally setting the radio alarm ! I...

I first "stumbled" across Heather's place on a solo motorcycle tour of the West Coast in September 2016, staying for one evening, and was so impressed that I decided to return. Travelling with me this time (by car this time 😀) were my Mother and my 18-years old son who were both equally impressed by the comfort and homeliness that...

Heather is a Mallaig local, and made us feel very welcome. We stayed 2 nights on either side of a trip to Canna. Especially lovely room looking over the harbourafter our return from Cannat. Great breakfasts - including locally smoked kippers and locally sourced sausage. And a wonderful choice of fresh fruit! Best of all, I left a valuable personal...

I can see why the reviews are so good for this B&B. Heather was a wonderful host; nothing was too much trouble (even finding a tiny screwdriver for our son's toy!) The room was beautiful; a stunning view across the boats. Perfectly matching accessories and a comfy bed. My husband loved the whisky and I enjoyed the biscuits! Breakfast was...
