Brilliant hotel, good staff and a friendly atmosphere. The food was brilliant, I'd recommend the sliced beef in whisky sauce! Very traditional building which is kept well cleaned, prices are also reasonable. The area surrounding the hotel is beautiful, and definitely worth a visit!

The staff gave us a very warm welcome as did the locals in the bar later. We had a evening meal that was tasty and good with a full breakfast the following morning. Our room was clean comfortable and ready for us upon arrival. The bar staff were able to offer helpful local information and advice. The bonus for us...

The sign outside says under new management and this is a message to the owner. This place is not being managed well. The welcome was poor, staff doing no doubt what they thought was their best with no support. Result room not cleaned properly and looked tired. Breakfast was substantial but not much choice and desultory service. Hope it's a...

It was absolutely lovely. Food was terrific, and the staff was really friendly. The old atmosphere of the place is very nice which makes it more cozy. The area surrounding the place is very beautiful. Try the chocolate fudge cake, as it is great!

Visited the hotel for a meal on 2nd July, wasn't very hopeful from previous reviews but kept an open mind, we all selected different main courses and apart from the vegetables being overcooked ( at least for me) the rest of the meal was great & the house wine( the only one available to be honest) was a brilliant Australian...

Have such fond memories of staying at The Colquhonnie Hotel. Stayed there year after with the whole family during skiing hols. Staff are so attentive, hotel so cosy & rooms/stairwells SO quirky. Could honestly live there!! Love this place ❤️❤️

We almost gave this place a miss, based off earlier TripAdvisor reviews, but decided to try anyway after reading AirBNB reviews of the new manager. I'm glad we gave them the benefit of the doubt, as we had a lovely time. The new manager recently took over the Colquhonnie and has, as anybody who frequents the place will confirm, worked...

Unfortunately when I went up the other day to enquire about a possible group event in the planning I was informed by the Hotel's owner, Mr. Anderson, that The Colquhonnie is closed at present but he very kindly invited me in for a viewing of the facilities and I enoyed a cuppy with him by the cozy woodstove while he...

We had 4 couple booked in here for a wedding. The first couple arrived to find a dead rat, broken glass and a pile of rubbish adjacent to the hotel building. The bar ceiling had collapsed and other areas upstairs were in disrepair. The room they were given and had damp patches and a broken window. They decided not to...

To: kingfisherScotland Thank you for your review and we are sorry that you and your guests were disappointed by their experience at the Colquhonnie Hotel. The ruined steadings close to the hotel have nothing to do with us, and we are aware that they are in a state of decay and disorder. The area you are criticising us for is...
