From the moment you drive through the gate and pass up the avenue lined with lots of rhododendrons(the national flower of Nepal! ) and you catch sight of the hotel with the ruins of Kildrummy Castle on your left you know you have arrived at a magical place. Spring in Scotland has been wonderful this year and the sun shone...

What a super place to eat ! Admittedly it was beautiful weather for March but we had our aperitifs in the garden- so relaxing , and then ate our meal in a very gracious dining room. Food was very good, staff were very pleasant and efficient, ambience excellent and prices competitive Would definitely recommend

This hotel is only 40 minutes from Aberdeen but it was like stepping back 40 years, not for the amenities or the service but for the tranquility. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the bedroom and the public areas are what you would expect from a country house hotel and the evening meal was well prepared and presented. The...

This place is exactly how you want a highland castle hotel to look and feel. You cross a little bridge and a ruined castle on the private drive up to the hotel. Then there is full wood panelling on the ground floor as well as a library, drawing room, dining room, and bar. I almost felt like I should go...

As a treat we booked the superior room - which lived up to its name. Large, comfy four poster and lots of little extras. We were greeted with a true Scottish welcome by a tartan clad concierge. There are a variety of rooms to relax in from the library, to bar and our favourite the green drawing room. The food...

I stayed here two nights with a group of nine friends. The interior of the hotel is historic, lots of wood, antic furniture, paintings and fireplaces. Several lounges for private conversations and a nice bar with the essential whiskers. Staff is very friendly. We had breakfast and diner twice, very satisfying. Rooms are large and with individual touch. I will...

We arrived on a very cold and frosty Friday afternoon to be welcomed into a piece of the past. The staff couldn't do enough for you they are so friendly and welcoming. After settling in we retired to the bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks beside the fire before heading through for dinner and the most amazing mousse created...

Booked a one night stay myself and girlfriend. Lovely friendly staff rooms were immaculate and the jacuzzi bath a welcome sight. The hotel is a old Stanley home and is but I fully decorated and library has some extremely old books within. We had lunch and dinner no complaints for both and the breakfast was just as enjoyable. Recommended.

Great hotel in a lovely location. On Donside a short hop over the hill from royal Deeside in Castle grounds. Secluded picturesque setting. Lots of lovely walks nearby. Very comfortable room and friendly staff. We booked for dinner which was great with a good choice of options and we'll prepared and presented. Great choice for breakfast too. Great stay, recommended...
