Well after a second visit to Laurel Villa, we were not disppointed. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome and nothing is too much to ask of Geraradine and Eugene. The location is excellent, so central for everything, the village has lots of shops, bars and resturants ( can highly recommend Church Street Resturant) The...

Stayed for two nights from the 17th October. Eugene and Gerardine were wonderful hosts. They were a great help with our family history search. Even down to the crayon for a grave rubbing!! Breakfast was fabulous. It was an excellent place to stay for the start for our Ireland trip and certainly set the bar high! For any future trips...

First time I've stayed here and I would come again. The house is full of interesting memorabilia like poetry. Clean rooms and comfortable... Though I would stay just for Gerrardine's breakfast which is home made and beautiful. The owners are very helpful and friendly. I was there visiting family in the area amd introducing my new fiance they helped to...

Didn't stay here as we live locally but booked for afternoon tea to celebrate my Mothers birthday. Cannot fault the delicious homemade food and wonderful service. Very good value for money also. Would highly recommend the Laurel Villa afternoon tea as a lovely way to spend an afternoon with friends and family.

Second time I've stayed here and it's worth a visit. The house is full of interesting furniture and memorabilia. Very clean, comfortable rooms and the breakfast was lovely. I've stayed in lots of places in my travels with work but the way Gerrardine presents breakfast is second to none.

Your hosts, Eugene and Gerardine, are the most wonderful and helpful people, making one feel at home instantly. And then your room! Oh the rooms! Exquisitely decorated, and each one dedicated to an Irish poet, (as another reviewer mentioned), you'll fall asleep with their words wending their way into your dreams. And yes - as retired Food Sciences teachers, my...

Just imagine! Waking up to the smell of freshly baked scones and a full-Irish! Well, stop imagining and experience the real thing at the Laurel Villa in Magherafelt. Gerrardine, lady of the house and fellow coeliac makes the best GF scones I've ever tasted, including my own! But the experience is more than the food. A lovingly restored Edwardian mansion...

I found the Laurel Villa a great place to stay. The owners are lovely, they are very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. My friend is a coeliac and it wasn't a problem making gluten free scones for her. The rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy. This B&B is a must if you like your Irish poets (and even...

The hosts, Geraldine & Eugene, could not have been more welcoming. The decor of the house is quirky which added interest, and one might describe it as a very small stately home (it's given me some ideas). Seamus Heaney is known to them, and his poems decorate their walls. As part of a wedding party, we were even given a...

Stayed here as part of a wedding party. We all thought Laurel Villas was great, very friendly and welcoming. Was even given a lift to the Church! Great decor and very cosy. Really liked the bedrooms and the bedside table was a nice touch... Would definitely go back if I'm in the area.
