New Year's Eve was absolutely amazing! The huntsman never fails to impress. Myself, my wife and our friends throughly enjoyed our evening! We were greeted by the manager and Alex when we arrived and showed to our table - the room was decorated beautifully! It definitely looked the part! The hog roast buffet was a great idea, much better than...

We dive past here lots when we are out on a country drive and every time we pass it is always very busy which we took as always good sign. We had Sunday lunch which was delicious. Excellent size portion and great value for the money. Left with a full and happy tummy Would highly recommend

We must have visited a different place to one of the reviewers ,we had the best time every and well worth the 36 mile round trip. From first phoning to enquire to the end of the evening Stewart the manager, Alex the assistant manager and all the staff they all could not have been more helpful and friendly. The fireworks...

My mum, dad and I were well looked after over the Christmas period. The bed was made up freshly each night it had been tided, nothing was too much trouble that we asked for, very kind staff. treated it like a bed and breakfast

When we arrived the Assistant Manager, Alex greated us with a big beaming and welcoming smile and then offered to help us with our luggage and took us to our room. Before leaving us in our super clean room, he checked the windows and sorted out the heating. Within minutes the room was lovely and warm. The towels that were...

Had a wonderful stay at The Huntsman, wonderful welcome from genuinely cheerful staff and the bedrooms were lovely and clean. Had an evening meal in the restaurant, food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. Wine and beer were good too. Service with a smile on everyone's faces despite the restaurant clearly being very busy, nothing was...

The quality of food served up was absolutely abysmal and makes me wonder whether they actually have a chef or employ a cook used to school dinners. Worst leek and potato soup imaginable, bland, tasteless thin potato water reminiscent of what may have been served to POWs. Main course little better, starting with totally unappealing presentation on square plates with...
