First off, the room was great - a great, comfy bed and a TV, CD player and videos to watch if you wanted. If you want 5* accommodation, maybe this isn't for you, BUT...if you want a great room, a great host and a feeling that this is a bit out of the ordinary and made to feel welcome, then...

Very comfortable family room. We all slept so well. Love the basket of breakfast in the morning - works so well with children. The pub downstairs is gorgeous - couldn't stop going on about the chicken wrapped in bacon dish. V near Wells so perfectly placed to explore there. Couldn't recommend highly enough

This was meant to be a real treat for our Easter Monday and unfortunately our lunch was terrible. There where 16 of us, we had pre booked and phoned the night before so they knew we where coming and we still had to wait over 1 1/2 hours for our main meals. The most disappoiing thing was the service. One...

Brought my wife here for just one night to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. When we first walked into our room, we were blown away. Loads of room and a really big bed! Then we stepped into the bathroom and it was amazing. The shower did not have a door, you had to step through a hole in the wall...

Wookey Hole itself isn't so hot, though the surrounding scenery is beautiful and Wells has to be one of the most amazing towns in England. The inn, though, is great. Fantastic scrumpy, good food, and pleasant rooms all with a peace and love 90s twist. The staff were wonderfully acconodating of my family's annoying requests, and we had a really...

We visited in November, the night of Wells carnival. After driving around for a while we stumbled across The Wookey Hole Inn. The staff were very friendly and the young man who was our waiter was very attentive, nothing was to much trouble. The food we ordered was superb, one of the best meals we have ever had. Portion sizes...

Well that is the motto chalked up outside. Well I certainly found peace and great food and it was pretty loving. A good selection of beers and ciders and wines. The food is always good on the times that I have eaten there. The specials are usually the lunch menu but sometimes there are interesting additions such as partridge. I...

The food was amazing, the haddock had the crispiest, lightes batter I've ever had, and my fiancé's steak, although expensive, was well worth the money. Good beer, very friendly service. All in all a great evening. We even had an atmospheric power cut for a few seconds which added to the evening...

Stayed for the night on the 18th. Arrived quite late and there was a birthday bash in progress and the place was very busy, the staff still managed to attend to us quickly and were very friendly. The manager/owner showed us to our room which was fantastic, no corporate box this - all very individual and comfy, even had a...
