Detailed Reviews
Visited late unbooked in a large group from York , we were warmly welcomed . We were able to all sit together outside which was nice as it was a warm night . I had the masons special cheeseburger with chips and chutney which was delicious after a 13 mile walk. Was very busy and was a good atmosphere, another large group appeared after us and they were welcomed too . Would highly recommend .

Did not stay at the hotel. Called in for a meal and what a find!
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was very good, especially the steak and ale pie and the limoncello cheesecake.
During our 10 day stay in the area only one meal was better, but it was also 3 times the price. The staff checked for allergies before we ordered our food
Would definitely go there again and would recommend.

Only recently discovered this great pub, made to feel very welcome and even remembered me on third visit! Food is delicious, steak and ale pie especially! Fab choice of ales and beers, the White Witch went down a treat! Excellent covid measures in place and the best sanitising and cleaning I have seen in any food establishment... spot on! Can’t wait to visit again when we’re next in the area. Thanks to all the staff for making our visit so good

Bedroom - tiny room. Poor quality double bed (no bigger). Huge gap under the door.
No soundproofing from the pub downstairs. Can hear every sound and word until almost 1am! Not what you want when you’ve been hiking all day.
Bathroom tiny, too.
Food - fish pie had mussels, calamari rings and worst of all, pieces of crab stick!! WTF?
A proper fish pie contains chunks of salmon, white fish and prawns. No wonder they didn’t put the ingredients on the menu.
What was most annoying, after the music stopped at circa 11:45pm, you could hear every word spoken downstairs. I had to resort to strong meditation to help me get to sleep. Didn’t feel like there was any consideration from the owner.

We hadn't been here before, overnight stay booked as a surprise birthday present. A lovely day walking around Ingleton Falls, finished off with superb food (steak and ale pie and inside out chicken Kiev, both tdf). Very friendly service, lovely atmosphere and excellent clean and comfy bedroom.
Thanks, we would certainly come back.

Unfortunately Ingleton really needs a serious makeover (see Kirkby Lonsdale or Settle in either direction). The businesses & cafes are out-of-date but like to still take your money giving a poor offering in return.
Not so the Masons. The interior & exterior have had a very pleasant makeover. The food & drinks are good and the staff friendly & helpful. And guess what?......It's full of people.
Well done to the proprietors. With a bit of forethought and a desire to maintain quality of standards you can create a thriving business. I can't comment on the rooms as I was staying down the road in a rented cottage. But I'd be very happy to eat and drink here again.

The Mason's is probably the smartest of the pubs in the village and is clearly the most popular as far as dining is concerned. It also has a good variety of nice ales.
Our room (Room 1) was very smart and also has an equally smart en-suite. It was very comfortable albeit, in comparison with other places we stayed on this trip, the room was on the small side. Certainly big enough for a night or two, but not for a longer stay.
Breakfast was top class and featured quality ingredients perfectly cooked.
Everything about this place is about quality and attention to detail, and I would highly recommend it.

Found this pub on the way back from Aysgarth Falls. Parking available. Lovely dog friendly pub. The hosts even brought a bowl of water & a treats over for our dog. Lovely touch. Food was home cooked and delicious. It was presented beautifully. Service was good and we felt very comfortable and relaxed. As we we getting ready to leave the pub began to fill up with people and their dogs. A popular pub. Would definitely recommend it.

Had a lovely meal with my husband. I had cod wrapped in pancetta in a tomato sauce followed by summer berry brownie and my husband had a turkey roast followed by a lemon tart. Amazing food. They do a brownie of the month....August is mint, would love to try that.
5 guest ales on which suited my husband and I and for the gin lovers out there, a full blackboard full of different gins to try.
Extremely welcoming and warming hosts, Natalie, Stuart and Jo with a great team of lovely staff. Locals were friendly too.
Night in their rooms....just perfect. The bed was soooo comfy, had the best nights sleep. Shower was powerful and refreshing and the room was lovely and modern.
Breakfast was amazing....all locally sourced. I filled my boots.
Great night away, couldn't fault a thing.
