The Wheatsheaf is steeped in history stretching as far back as the 17th century. This Coaching Inn was extended in the 1800s to include a Blacksmiths shop and stables, now being utilized as the dining room. There is a large beer garden to rear and food is served every day. Black sheep is our main beer on the bar but we do have other guest ones for you to try.

Detailed Reviews
Went mid afternoon August 17th, very switched on to Corona, register at door, no more than 6 in a party, they challenged and refused a group of 8, menus are used once only, plenty of sanitiser, meals freshly made and very nice. We had 3 light meals that were more than enough and very tasty. The waitress deducted 50% without us even mentioning it, very nice inside and spacious beer garden, dogs allowed. Staff should be commended.

lovely hotel in Ingelton. Our room was charming and although overlooking the carpark the far reaching view was stunning. The room was clean the bed like climbing onto a cloud and a good range of tea and coffee provided which were topped up on evening. We had a very nice evening meal with friends on the evening where the staff were very pleasent and efficient one girl in particular, Simone went out of her way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay and had the patience of a saint.

The Inn was the typical quaint English Inn, open fire ,locals at the bar and great food
The rooms appeared to be recently refurbished with heaps of charm. Extremely clean plenty of tea and coffee.
All the staff were friendly couldn't be more helpful
Cannot recommend the Wheatsheaf enough wish we were there in the summer so we could enjoy the outdoor garden area. Hopefully I will be back. The Wheatsheaf made up for the disappointment of the waterfall trail.

Just stayed for 2 nights and was really impressed. Booked a four poster bedroom and had the Beezley Falls room which didn’t have a four poster but I was more than happy with the room, very spacious with excellent large new shower. Breakfast is full English in various sizes to please all. This is served between 8-9am and could just do with been extended to 8-10am. The family party I was part of had 5 rooms and only 2 rooms made the 9am cut off on the 2nd night. An extra hour would benefit a lot of guests I think. All in all a great place to stay, eat and drink in Ingleton with helpful and friendly staff.. I will defo stay here again.

Waited 10min to be served at bar as no bar staff . Ordered seafood platter . Salt n pepper calamari plus other bits . Not one bit of chili or onion on the calamari
Waitress said it was a bad batch . Still don't understand what she meant. Nearly £16...
Ordered my son pizza bites
Looked like a crumpet with cheese on
Utter waste of money

Popped in today without a booking and was pleasantly surprised to get a table. Looking around lots were booked and it was the last day of the 50% off for the week. The place was well laid out as others have said although the room we were in lacked a bit of atmosphere and decoration (in the door and right) but the food was very tasty and great value. My wife and I both had the hallumi which was lovely. Children had a burger which was a decent one and he loved it (normally very fussy) and a beautiful fresh salad. The other had the pizza, again really nice, freshly made and fresh salad. The lack of atmosphere and room was made up by the food.

My brother and I stayed here recently during our trip to Yorkshire to visit Bolton Abbey, Malham Cove, Ingleton Falls and the Three Peaks.
The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting Ingleton, just a short stroll away, and also White Scar cave and one of the starting points for the Three Peaks walk.
The hotel has a free car park, large beer garden and large comfortable rooms.
The staff were a delight, and even went to the trouble of contacting me after leaving to advise that I had dropped my wallet in the car park, for which I am so very thankful.
We had dinner during our stay and were treated to a proper Yorkshire sized portion, all washed down with delicious local ales, and a Black Sheep and Doom Bar to finish!
If we are in the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to book at the Wheatsheaf again, and hopefully stay a little longer next time around.
A big thanks to Darren and the team for making our stay so welcoming.

Had a great couple of hours ordering drinks at the bar with no mask on from maskless staff as the law has changed.
Popped back to my AirBnB and returned an hour or so later to order food, when I came back what I can only assume was the manager was suddenly trying to force myself and my partner to buy masks in order to ‘safely’ walk 20ft through to the beer garden at the rear, which is also accessible from outside??
Of course, I opted to eat elsewhere at this point, could hear laughing as I walked away.
Appreciate places are entitled to set their own ‘rules’ in the current situation however, this person is a total jobsworth, rude and really ruined what what started out pretty good.
First and last visit here.

Yes to both questions. Our dog slept in our room, in her own bed, which we took with us. Not allowed in the restaurant though. Ingleton Falls are within walking distance and in fact it's the best way to go to them from the hotel.
We had breakfast at 8am and was served until 10am and what a lovely breakfast it was. If you wanted one earlier they are flexible upon request by prior arrangement. Your in for a treat.
Its's on their website:
