Nice and clean rooms. Reception staff quite friendly. Let down by very over priced food, extremely small portions and trying to be too cool and aloof in the restaurant. It's just plain weird! Stayed a few times (no choice) and it is always the same.

Stayed here for a night while working in Dorchester. Very clean hotel, well appointed room. Had dinner in the restaurant, thought the food and service very good. Good buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay here again !

Stayed one night on business stop over. Clean comfy and spacious bedrooms. Nice clean modern bathroom too. Wifi was a little temperamental at times. Breakfast was hot buffet and was plentiful and tasty with choice of cereal and toast etc also. Restaurant a little expensive if you dont want the fuss and expense. Sandwiches also available on room service with...

We were having a lunch to celebrate a big, big birthday. The meal was stunning with excellent service although the room did seem enormous for the size of the group. It is a very stylish location with masses of parking and really good disabled access.

All rooms are on the first floor served by a lift. Rooms are huge with plenty of furniture to make stay comfortable. Large, comfy king size bed. Great bathroom with a tub you can actually 'wallow' in to your hearts content and good quality toiletries. Tea and coffee in rooms and controlable air conditioning/heat. View not great but we weren't...

We were attending a motor event at the nearby Clay Pigeon Circuit and we needed a night's stay, and being next door thought we would give the George Albert a try. We were not disappointed, from the friendly staff when we checked in, to the service in the bar and for the evening meal, all was really good. The room was...

After attending the funeral of a true son of Dorset we needed a night's stay on the way home. As we had stayed at the George Albert on a previous occassion a couple of years ago we decided to repeat the experience. We were not disappointed and if anything we were even more impressed by the attention to detail and...

We recently stayed for just one night with a group of choristers visiting the area for a concert. My wife was recovering from recent surgery and, on crutches. The hotel team were really great and most helpful and we enjoyed a 1st floor room 'just outside the lift'. Access was easy & a great walk-in shower was ideal. Buffet-style Breakfast...

Booked a 1 night stopover en route back from Cornwall. My wife had been unwell and so we were looking for a comfortable room with walk in shower, a lift if on upper floor and convenient parking. We had stayed at George Albert in the past so expected it to meet our needs, which it did. Hotel was surprisingly quiet...
