Stayed here for one night at the end of May and just finished another 2 night stay here in July, what more can we say about Richard & Debs and the heaven on Earth that is Grizedale Lodge - not to be confused with any other lodges of a similar name ! Love the breakfast specials this time - garlic...

Thank you for your review. It is very satisfying that you continue to enjoy your stays here, as it means our aim of creating a home from home that guests will want to return to again and again is working! Debs does continue to develop more 'breakfast specials' so there may be more when you next come, which is in...

We booked to stay at Grizedale Lodge because we were going to experience the zip trekking adventure at Go Ape just down the road. We were pleasantly surprised with this B&B, from our first meeting Richard we were made to feel most welcome, and the room was exactly what we needed for our short break. The breakfast is cooked to...

Room was spotless. Amenities were excellent. Breakfasts were fantastic. Richard and Deborah were very friendly and made us very welcome. Right in the middle of the Lakes enabling you to visit as many as you like. We also visited Hadrian's Wall from here - starting at Carlisle Castle and finishing at Corbridge.

When calling to find availability, Richard was so friendly and so caring that we knew we wanted to stay here! He only had one night available, so we stayed somewhere else to start and finished off our holiday here, and so glad we did! Only regret was not booking earlier on and being able to stay the full 3 nights....

Thank you for such a lovely review, of the guest house and of our hospitality! Debs does produce a fantastic breakfast every morning, and she now tries to offer a different breakfast special each day, so there is always plenty of choice! If you can come again, especially if you are planning a stay near a Bank Holiday, give me...

We stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. We stayed in Room 1 which was spacious and beautiful. The owners are very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast is superb! We didn't have an evening meal but the daily menu looked very good. We would strongly recommend Grizedale Lodge to anyone wanting...

In a lovely setting, this B and B stands out for the warm welcome and hospitality of its hosts. Richard made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. His wife prepared the most delicious meal for dinner which we enjoyed with a bottle of New Zealand wine that we selected from the honesty bar. After the meal, tea...

Came here last year off the back of excellent reviews on trip advisor and our experience was superb. This was the case again this year. Idyllic location, great service and food so good it is pointless making the effort to eat elsewhere. Hopefully we will visit again later in the year.
