Every year we hold our branch Christmas Dinner and this time it was arranged in the Harbour Inn. We were around 20 in number. There was table service for starters and sweets and a self service style carvary for the main. The quality was excellent and we all enjoyed ourselves.

The Sunday carvery here is very popular and great value for the money if you don't mind the queue and the rather manic atmosphere. They do provide a gluten free gravy if you don't mind waiting for it and on the whole I would recommend it to hearty eaters who like to pile their plate high. There were two choices...

Popped in for lunch, the Inn was really busy for a sunny day in very late November, but it was explained that they do a very good carvery on Wednesdays & Sundays! The welcome was very friendly despite being busy, we enjoyed a macaroni cheese starter and calamari with scampi and a fish pie to follow with a bottle of...

Didn't eat here but popped in every other night for a post dinner drink. Without exception the staff were happy, friendly and created a great atmosphere. Saturday night with the live music playing was particularly good. Will miss it when I return home. Especially the great St Austell ales.

We stayed on two occasions in November 16 whilst house hunting in the area. We stayed in a room to the side of the building, there were no views but it was a lovely clean and comfortable room. On the 2nd occasion we had a harbour view room, the room was slightly larger but was located over the bar. We...

We only had one night here but the rooms were finished to a very high standard with every small detail thought of (including ear plugs for those that did not want to hear any noise). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we will definitely go back.

This is a beautiful old building that has been gutted on the inside and renovated in pastiche of an old pub. We were very keen to try the food when we arrived as we have seen great reviews. Unfortunately the kitchen had shut early - earlier than its normal 9pm and despite being residents the chef declared there was no...

We stayed here the night of storm Angus & although the pub experienced loss of power for a while the staff coped admirably. They had a fire going in the lounge & were waiting for our return to warmly welcome us back from our night out. Our coats were taken & dried overnight for us & we were even guided...

Well presented, lovely bathroom. The staff were young and friendly. The reason it missed on a 4 is down to the food. It was well done but one of the days specials was running low (1 left) odd given we were early for dinner and another dish (seafood tagliatelle) was also off the menu. Otherwise a good place to stop....
