Anastasis Apartments is an absolute slice of heaven on Santorini. The property is right on the caldera edge, with only the trail between villages and between you and the view. The location is on the edge of Imerovigli, so it's a walk to village, and it would take about 45 minutes to walk to the center of Fira. It's less busy, so fewer crowds to encroach on the property and to make it feel more peaceful. The infinity pool and deck are fantastic, the rooms are wonderful, but the service is what's absolutely incredible. My wife and I have traveled extensively, and I can say without a doubt, that the attention to detail by the staff here is the best I have experienced. Many properties are mostly reactive - they respond to your requests. Here, the staff plans moments to delight you. Whether it is filling your room with flower petals and candles while you are out at dinner, offering a private evening in an outdoor hot tub room with home made liqueur. Despina and her staff are incredibly attentive and kind, as well as very engaging and fun. The space is a wonderful escape from the pervasive cruise ship crowds in the villages themselves. The food is excellent - they downplay it as being very simple, but the quality is excellent and we wished we had all of our meals at the hotel. We cannot recommend this property enough - it was one of the loveliest stays we've ever had, and we are trying to plan our next visit already.

Hotel's Favourite
After much research and reading reviews my husband booked Anastasis Apartments as a surprise trip for my 40th birthday. He contacted the hotel via email and the communication back from the team was excellent and as it was a special birthday he booked the 'Anastasis villa'. The team at the hotel refer to this villa as 'secret' because it is away from the main hotel tucked into the hillside offering uninterrupted breath taking views of the Caldera and complete privacy. On arrival day the hotel phoned my husband to say our room was ready and that they would send a car, however as we were only a 10 minute scenic walk away from we decided to walk (forgetting about the 18kg suitcase :-) )... In terms of location, the hotel is situated down the hill from the main part of Imerovigli, about a 10 - 15 minute walk (across some uneven ground) on the main pathway towards Oia. The hotel pool and rooms are elevated from the main path (as its situated on the main path leading towards Oia) and they knew we were on our way so came out to greet us and take our suitcase. We were shown through to the Reception area where we were welcomed by the friendly Despina (Hotel Manager) and then taken up to one of the beautiful terraces (complete with staggering views, a wall style water feature and tweeting bird in a cage), and given a bottle of water each and a fresh wipe while Myrah took us through the details of the hotel and provided lots of useful information to us. She noted down any food allergens / dislikes (as daily breakfast is a 'surprise') and also any tours / reservations / cars we had prebooked (we didn't know at the time but this was so they could phone all of the companies to ensure they knew where and when to collect us etc). She also gave us the whatsapp number and told us we must message for anything we needed at anytime as they would always help us. Once this was completed Myrah took us down to our 'secret' villa. We headed past the pool out of the main gate by the pathway and through another gate down some steps to our door. I opened the door, stepped down in to our room and remember just gasping at the sight. Firstly I noticed the huge glass window offering breathtaking views of the Caldera and opposite Island, then noticed the size of the inside. The suite comprises of a large lounge area with Chais longe, TV, Stereo player, torch and dining table with three chairs (overlooking the Caldera). There is a fully equipped kitchen with tall fridge / freezer, hob, microwave, tea & coffee making facilities, crockery and glassware. The fridge was stocked with a mixture of 500ml and 1 litre bottles of water (additional 6 pack of 1 litre water in the cupboard). The bedroom has a King size bed with full ceiling to door blackout curtains and doors leading to the terrace, and behind it, a large bathroom with toilet, his and hers sink and large walkin Rainfall shower. There is also two mirrored wardrobes, one of which has a safe and an umbrella. Leading from either the dining space or bedroom is a terrace spanning the full width of the villa with a private hot tub, 2 sun beds and a table and 2 chairs. We unpacked our bags and whilst doing so our welcome drinks were bought down to us. The hotel has a complimentary daily 'coffee break', and we sent our requests via WhatsApp, choices comprised of tea, coffee or home made lemonade and are served somewhere between 3pm & 4pm. In fact even when we did not arrive back to the hotel until close to 5pm they still messaged to see what we wanted and bought it down to us. They also provide a complimentary daily 'sunset drink' which we ordered daily (a rose wine and a red wine) which was bought down to our terrace at 8.10pm each night for us to enjoy whilst we watched the sunset. The room has a welcome folder filled with information on the hotel / the island including recommendations for restaurants and driving / walking routes. There is also a dining menu folder which you can access via a scanable QR code. On our arrival afternoon we walked up to reception and ordered a snack to be bought to our room, we ordered two Club sandwiches, one without bolied egg. That night when we were leaving to go out they called us and asked who doesn't eat bolied egg so that they didn't put it on the plate for breakfast any mornings (then asked why I didn't tell them I don't eat boiled egg as I must have only things I like).. the attention to detail was unlike any hotel I've stayed at before. The hotel has a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the Caldera and also plenty of Sun loungers. There is also a room inside with large sofa, shower and toilet which guests can use on departure day). I believe the spa is currently closed but they have two private areas with hot tubs and massage couches which can be booked for massage treatments. Each night there is an unobtrusive turn down service (they wait until you have left) and the staff do a quick clean up, turn back the bedsheets, leave a 'surprise treat' and make some lovely creations out of towels. On our third night we came back to find the room litup with lanterns and tealights, scattered petals everywhere and a bottle of homemade Anastasis Licquor and two glasses... we were so taken aback (my husband even had a tear in his eye). On our last night we returned to a gift box (i wont give away anything else), such a kind gesture. The reception / main entrance to the hotel is literally right on the main road, however we never used this as we always entered from the pathway on the Caldera side. When we returned from our day of exploring the island in the car, they were there with the reception gate open ready to welcome us back in (and escort us across the road). Our breakfast was bought down to us daily at 8.40am specified by us as we are early risers (following a telephone call to check we were ready and where we would like it served) we would then head out for the day and return between 4 - 5, have 4 hours lounging on our beautiful private terrace / in our hot tub, enjoy the sunset and then walk up to one of the towns for Dinner. In the evenings the hotel provide a complimentary shuttle bus service from the hotel to Firostefani / Fira and pick ups based on a timetable which they provide and you can send a WhatsApp message requesting a space on the bus each day. We used the service to go to Firostefani twice but walked back the other nights because we liked the walk. So far we've been very fortunate to have stayed in many hotels across the world ranging from 2* to 5* but I can honestly say never experienced the service, hospitality and kind attention to detail which Despina and her team provide at this hotel. In my opinion with a level of personalised service in this much detail, it can easily feel obtrusive however Despina and the team have the perfect balance of making you feel the most important of guest and noting every detail but almost in a way that you don't notice they are there. Despina and her team really do work tirelessly and we are extremely grateful for their hospitality and kindness which made our trip to Santorini that extra special and memorable. This holiday for us was about seeing as much of the island as we could but also as having busy work / child commitments we also needed some chill time, and the hotel / room provided exactly that.

It will be very difficult to express in words how amazing our stay was, but here's my best try... We booked the trip just before the pandemic, and we couldn't go. Received a voucher and had to wait almost three years for the trip. Our voucher was overdue, but Despina (owner and manager) honoured it with no fuss! First huge positive for the hole experience! :-) After we finely confirmed, plenty of communications on what to do (and what not to expend time with) started, and we arrived prepared with some decisions. Reception by Mayra (hope I wrote it right) and Despina was special. All information about ourselves relevant to the stay were noted down (food preferences, allergies, our plans...) and a WhatsApp group with my wife, I and hotel staff was promptly created. It is the main way of communications and requests with the staff, and it works really well! The concierge service is perfect. We had our plans but booked nothing waiting to speak to them in person and check weather while there for the decisions. They arranged everything for us, from reservations to transport, to car rental or even spots on the beach when we decided to visit ones where it was advised. The room was (is) special. We stayed at the secluded suite, viewing the caldera! Spacious, immaculate clean and with a different surprise waiting for us every day! Won't spoil telling anything about it. Food, ah the food! They tell us is "just a family menu with nothing fancy or high cousine", and it the end it is... a delight to try local dishes with perfect seasoning and taste! Prepared carefully, it was better than any meal we had at the any restaurant (not that we had bad experiences anywhere, but it was really good food at the hotel!) They offer a transfer to the closest towns, as the hotel is a bit away from the fuss of Santorini. By the way, being away is a bonus! We ended walking more, rented a car and later an ATV that added more to our experience! We stayed for 9 days, and we could easily stay more! Despina, please extent our warmest thank you to all the team!

If you’re looking for an exceptional boutique escape from the hustle of Santorini’s tourist trade, you *MUST* stay at Anastasis Apartments & Spa. *The perfect location: you won’t get better views of the caldera sunset anywhere else on the island! And the infinity pool looking over the ocean… Plus: a short hike but just far enough away from town to truly escape the craziness of Santorini when the cruise ships come in. *Exceptional accommodations: Fresh, clean, bright, tons of space and cool even on the hottest days. Bathroom and kitchenette looked new; linens and towels were high-end and changed daily. *Unparalleled service: From beverages and snacks upon arrival to offering to drive us to dinner reservations, setting up candles, flowers and sweets in our suite for our anniversary, to providing exclusive access to the spa and hammam, and much more, Despina and Vagelis and their amazing team are thoughtful, charming and friendly but not overbearing. Somehow they were able to anticipate our needs and deliver an amazing, relaxing, and luxurious stay that had us wishing we had booked a longer stay with them. *And the food: they say it’s homey, what you’d get if you were eating with their family. But honestly, it was better than some of the most expensive restaurants on the island. And so plentiful, we asked for less food—hated to see it go to waste! Overall—we can’t recommend Anastasis highly enough. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Efharisto to the entire team—Despina, Vagelis, Mayra , Victoria, Zaxarenia, Adrian, Marian, Klondis, Xara, Kandri, Eda, Davit, Brouna, Gena and Mira! We hope to see you again in 2024!

Santorini is famously quite expensive and I was in two minds about visitinf. But omg DO IT and THIS HOTEL Worth. Every. Penny. The whole entire holiday was flawless. Can’t single anyone out as everyone was exceptional at making our stay out of this world. The service, little surprises, the complimentary coffee/wine plus other attention to details really elevated this holiday to make it extra special The hotel was so intimate with a finite amount of rooms it made us feel so relaxed and like we had the whole place to ourselves some days! Everywhere was so clean as well. Constantly spotless Spa was delicious TIPS - don’t bother going out for the sunset because i thought this hotel had the best seats on the island. - the hotel food was actually amazing?, despite us being informed that it was “simple homemade Greek dishes” we thought they were divine! - don’t forget sun cream because in the town it’s £20 for a bottle 😭 - take a jacket in October time because the evenings were fresh! - BOOK THE HOLIDAY - special shout out to the white suite - so nice Cant thank everyone enough from the cleaners to the receptionists. so welcoming, friendly, hard working and it was so appreciated. Best holiday we’ve ever had and I genuinely don’t think anywhere could top it. Efharisto!

My husband and I had such a luxurious time at this beautiful boutique hotel. It sits on the cliff with a spectacular view of the Aegean Sea, Caldera and famous sunset. Ms. Despina and her gracious team welcomed us with such hospitality which along with extraordinary service continued throughout our stay. Our suite was tastefully decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The atmosphere is very peaceful and private. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and enjoyed the hot tub on the balcony. Also the food is delicious and elegantly served right on your balcony or patio. Another review mentioned being "treated like royalty" and I wholeheartedly agree - this is exactly how we were treated! There are many places to choose from in Santorini but you will NOT regret staying here. I highly recommend - you will not be disappointed!

I had a conference in Thessaloniki but wanted to experience staying on one of the islands so I settled on Santorini. After a lot research I decided upon Anastassis Apartments. Anastassis is a hidden gem and the price is very reasonable. It is on the caldera and the view is incomparable with a gorgeous heated infinity pool. The rooms are beautiful and impeccably turned out- great a/c and a very comfy bed. The food is fresh and amazing with a surprise breakfast each morning served wherever you like, snacks by the pool, afternoon cocktail or frappe, and dinner at sunset. There are lounges and umbrellas enough for every guest, no crowds- the epitome of quiet understated elegance. There is a spa on site with an indoor heated pool as well as the outdoor heated infinity pool. I had a massage and it was heavenly after flying so many hours. The staff is truly five star and they treat you like royalty. They handled all of our reservations for activities- fishing and a dinner cruise in the caldera, atv rental, airport -hotel pick up and drop off, shopping and sightseeing in Fira and Oia. The amenities are incomparable and they even orchestrated a surprise drinks and hot tub date for my husband and I.

We recently spent 5 days in Greece, staying at Anastasis Apartments, which we had booked online in advance. We picked this location as it is just outside of Imerovigli town and away from the crowds of Fira and Oia. Let me begin by saying that it was a wonderful choice. Even well before we arrived, Despina ( owner ) was in frequent contact with us to ensure that our arrival here would be seamless and a pleasant experience. She arranged for our pickup at the airport as well. When we arrived just across the road, several gentleman were waiting and whisked our luggage away. Despina welcomed us like family come to visit and showed us around the property, taking care to whisper near the pool so as not to disturb other guests. Victoria took over in a quiet room, did the paperwork, and asked us our preferences for breakfast, afternoon coffee and sunset drinks. Then we were led to our room. Because of previous bookings, we were not able to book the same room for all 5 nights. We had booked one night in an Apartment and 4 nights in a Superior Apartment. Despina had shifted our booking and provided us with the Honeymoon Suite for 2 nights ahead of us switching rooms ( which was no trouble at all, and staff carried all our belongings at that time ). Both accommodations were impeccable, and in both cases, we were welcomed with flower petals throughout the bathroom. We started our stay here with complimentary welcome drinks and treats. Breakfasts were included at our choice of time, and was delivered and arranged by G, one of the gentleman employed here, was delicious. G is a great guy and likes to joke a little too. A menu is available for dining choices, in room, on the balcony, or by the pool. Drinks are delivered as well to wherever you wish. We had a variety of items from the menu and decided to enjoy dinner here most nights, rather than eat out at local restaurants. The food was excellent and the location too beautiful to leave. One night, Despina arranged for us to have a private dinner on the top floor, with music, a water feature and a private spa. The view from here is breathtaking, whether in the day, or at sunset. The infinity pool area is extremely clean, there are sufficient lounges for all, and the front desk is helpful for all requests. With that in mind, be sure to have a WhatsApp account. This was a way of being in contact with Despina or the staff before and during our stay. Any requests that we made via WhatsApp were answered immediately. One afternoon it was arranged for us to meet a boat in Ammoudi Bay and be taken to Armeni Restarurant for lunch. Also, a very good Wine Tour was arranged for us. Just 9 of us on the tour, so it was very intimate. When it came time to leave, it was not checking out of a hotel, it was goodbyes and hugs. My wife had tears in her eyes as we boarded the arranged transport back to the airport. Despina, Victoria, Myra, G and others made this stay one that we will not forget and should we visit Santorini again in the future, this is the only place that we would stay.

Anastasia Apartments totally blew my husband and I out of the water. I’ve traveled to 24 different countries and stayed at hundreds of places but this will remain a number one spot for so many reasons. Despina Damigou, the owner, and her wonderful staff Myra, Victoria, etc. ( I wish I could remember everyone’s names) made sure of it. They were extremely attentive to all our needs and anticipated so many needs way ahead of time. Their genuineness and exemplary showcase of Greek Hospitality will be forever engraved in our hearts. We look back on our stay there and it always makes us so nostalgic and wanting to come back already. The place first of all is IMMACULATE. The sunrise and views are incomparable to everywhere else. My husband and I believe that a resort like this doesn’t mean anything without its amazing staff— from making sure our stay remained perfect from leaving our room spotless to leaving the most thoughtful surprises EVERYDAY— they all truly went above and beyond. I really want this to place to be recognized as the best with world class hospitality and locations. Efcharisto! Yasas from California— we will be back someday.
