Firstly if you are used to going on holidays to hotels with 300 rooms, 4 pools, 6 bars, 3 restaurants etc. etc. this is not for you. It is in the TUI site as a small and friendly hotel however to a British person it is a bed and breakfast. Now if that's what you are looking for read on.
It is the highest hotel on the island so be prepared to climb. It has a beautiful terrace with amazing views, the sunset here was better than anywhere else.
The whole place is spotless. It is ran by Yana & Paros (Spelling may be a bit out but...) They honestly can't do enough for you, so, so friendly and helpul.. They put in a shift that people in this country (UK) would refuse to do so be nice to them. The breakfast was ample and they will bring it to your room or on the terrace. Our room, number four, caught the sunrise and as such was very bright very early. A/C was working very well. No drawers in the room if that matters to you. One negative was the shower. Not the water, it was hot enough, the curtain, it stops 2 inches from the ground so the whole bathroom gets soaked, odd.
We spent the week from 25th August there, we explored the island on the very prompt bus service for a pretty decent amount and had a really good time.
Two things not related to the hotel, 1 Santorini is not a cheap place in any way. 2, Watch the taxi's. We only got one on our last night. When we asked in Thira how much we were told €10, half way there the actual driver said it was that coming back but it's €15 going as it's longer, as it is but not by 50%.
If you want a peaceful base for exploring Casa Fl;orina fits the bill.
Thank you both.

We have just returned from a week's stay at the Casa Florina and I don't think we could have found a better place to stay for the money. Amazing place, amazing views, amazing sunsets and amazing hosts.
The hotel is on the highest point of the volcano rim and has the best views you will get of the caldera and sunsets. We booked a sea view room, which was bright and airy and had great views from the terrace. It was the perfect place to sit and eat our breakfast overlooking the caldera and Skaros rock. There is also a large terrace with sunbeds, tables and chairs with the same views, where you could also have your breakfast if you were not in a sea view room. The sunset views from the terrace are truly stunning.
The breakfasts were really nice. Each morning you select all you want from a menu that includes meats, cheese, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, bread and drinks. This is then brought to your room, or anywhere you want on the hotel grounds so you can enjoy eating it whilst looking at the fantastic views.
The icing on the cake for us were our excellent hosts, Yanna and Panos. From the second we arrived they did everything they could to ensure we had a fantastic holiday including booking restaurants and giving us advice on where to go and how to get the most out of our travels around the island.
In summary, I would recommend Casa Florina if you are looking for good value bed and breakfast accommodation with some of the best views in the world.

This is a small hotel with a small friendly staff.

The view is probably the best on the island. You are high up, on a large, very private balcony. Nobody is above you; you have a much larger view than any other location.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They prepared breakfast, helped with transportation, accommodated special requests.

The hotel costs less than most, some facilities are a little outdated.

Stunning location and perfect Hosts by Yanna and Panos, loved our stay, the location is fantastic for the views, to walk to Fira or catch a bus to anywhere on the island via Fira from the local bus stop.

If you need advice on any arrangements then Yanna or Panos will go out of their way to help.

Room was amazing, comfortable bed with small but incredible balcony to watch the sunset with a glass or two of wine. No crowd's just the view!

Breakfast was delicious especially sat on the terrace with the view of the caldera.

We will have no issue going back and really look forward to when we can, annual leave permitting.

Thank you Yanna and Panos for the wonderful welcome and for all you help whilst staying with you.

Hope to see you soon.

Alex and Paul.

This hotel was fabulous. Janna who runs it could not do enough for all of the guests. Breakfast delicious, location superb, sun terrace with private view of the stunning sunset, whirlpool. I could have wanted for nothing more. As my first solo trip I was made welcome and bedroom was large, airy and cool so I rarely need the air con. I cannot recommend Casa Florina enough (just don't travel with TUI!)

This hotel is at the very top of the Caldera. Rooms are simple but clean. There are three things that make this place special and that is Yanna, Panos and of course the view! Nothing is too much trouble, breakfast choices can be made and taken wherever suits. Food was great. You can ask for wine glasses and kitchen equipment if required. Yanna and Panos will help with bookings or even ordering take away food for you to eat on the terrace. Some of the local tavernas are great, although vary in price. We really enjoyed our time here and will never forget this holiday.

We have just stayed here for a long weekend stay. Location is stunning just outside of Fira with amazing views for a great price.

Around a 20 minute walk to Fira but would recommend renting a quad/ATV as it is only 5 minutes drive and 20 minutes drive to Oia.

Couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts, thank you Yanna and Panos for being so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast each morning was delicious with a perfect view over the cliffs.

We really enjoyed our stay here and if we are ever back in Santorini this will be our first destination to stay!!

Casa Florina has one of the best views on the island, particularly for seeing the sunset. Yes the bathroom could do with an upgrade and the balcony is not as perfect as some on the island, but it's the service we received that made a 3 star property 5 star!
Yianas is an absolute gem and she looked after our every need from dawn until dusk. Fab breakfasts overlooking the Caldera and a sparkling clean room after a long day.

Santorini is an unbelievable place and we covered a lot in 4 days...the walk to Fira, the views, boat trip to the volcano and not so hot springs, but fab experience. Quad bikes to Oia and Perissa beach and a gyros every day.

We will be back .

This hotel is everything you need and great value for money. Nestled amongst the luxury hotels, it is comfortable, friendly staff and amazing views.

We stayed for 3 days and spent everyday out exploring so the hotel was perfect for Our base, with helpful staff and a great breakfast included with an amazing view.

Would recommend to anyone visiting, save your money for the trips and excursions and stay here!

We loved the 2 night we stayed here. The rooms are very clean and stylish. The view from the balcony is amazing. Every moment of the day. The fact that you can have your breakfast there is so nice! Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread, eggs. They have everything!
The location is very central for the area and there are enough restaurants around!
The people are very friendly too!

Will the hotel pick us up from the airport or will we need to book a taxi?
Answer from MrsMaldives

I'm sure the hotel will arrange a taxi for you. Make sure that the driver tells you where to go as our bus driver dropped us off at the bottom of the hill in the middle of the night and waved in the general direction "it's up there..."

Hi There is a small pool -maybe 2m by 4 m? But is near the rear of the hotel in a courtyard. No view from pool if that is what you are after. But there is a large deck overlooking the bay - view is amazing. From memory there were 4-6 sunbeds there. Space for shade and full sun. We were there in June this year. Nice people and good value considering the location and cost of other hotels. Plenty of bars (at varying prices!) within 3 minute walking radius. And some outstanding restaurants too. Hope that assists.
