The hotel itself is really nice and clean. The rooms are big and tidy. Then meeting rooms are well equipped and silent. The stuff is great and frendly. I am not a big fan of the kichen tough and the breakfast needs some improvements. I could taste some nice wine (also local ones).

I stayed at this hotel for one night in the Japanese room. It was a comfortable room and had everything that I needed for a good night sleep. It was an experience sleeping in a Japanese style bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good.

The hotel is located in a very old building on a main road, which does not really disturb though. The age of the building means that the rooms are not all the same and sometimes some odd choices had to be made to fit a modern hotel room in an old building, e.g. resulting in a tiny bathroom. The rooms... More

I was at the Alte Post for 3 days during a workshop but I have stayed here before. It is not a fancy hotel but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The shower I had in my room this time felt quite small and there was a smell which persisted, so I had to keep the door shut. However the... More

I really love the Alte Post. Our company does a lot of workshops and meetings there. Nice meeting rooms, good rooms, superb food. Eating there is really a highlight for me. You have to travel far within the region to find a better place. Also excellent wine list. Breakfast buffet is very good, too. Organic, fresh, tasty... That says it... More

Many visit, if the quality of the meal is way above average, the service is terrible. The waiters needs management and training, Their attitude destroy all the work of the Chef. The setting of the restaurant is nice, may be too many tables for treating every guest as he deserves it.

Very helpful staff, performing way above the price range. Main building with reception, restaurant and bar was decorated and maintained to a high standard. The bedrooms are in a fantastic 250 year old coaching inn but the disappointment started at the door to my room. Solid metal door, chipped paint and, upon entry, very basic. Not what I expected for... More

It might not be the most prestigious place in the area, but the shady garden terrace and the food are wonderful. We enjoyed great wine from the region and a lovely dinner. Our room - yet again- was functional and adequate for the price. We have stayed here before last year as the hotel is conveniently located close to the... More

My name is Alabri Nader I had the top floor suite, which was unbelievable. There was a huge living/dining room, with a very large open kitchen, three full bedrooms, a huge bathroom (and a seperate toilet) and a small TV area. And we paid including a very nice breakfast with . We'll never get a deal like that again. And... More

Hotel is an about 2 hour drive away from Stuttgart, but probably most people would fly into Basel anyway. Rooms are quite large. Bathroom has a shower, a bit small, but still acceptable. Beds are normally hard and comfortable. Electric plugs are next to the bed, they take German plugs only. Next to the desk are no plugs, except when... More
