Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time visitors to Puy St Vincent and to La Pendine Hotel. This charming hotel has been recently acquired by Eric and his family. They are fantastic hosts, offering comfortable rooms, a typical Alpine menu of the highest standards, and only 20m from the slopes! We (4 adults and 3 children) thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay and would highly recommend La Pendine Hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the Puy St Vincent area.

We visited the restaurant 3 times within 2 weeks. The food and service is much better then you would expect upfront. Quality is good and the price is low compared to the quality. Good Chef in the kitchen. For the hotel, I dont have a clue. Did not stay there.

We were in Hotel La Pendine for celebrating new years eve, and I can tell you that we had
a great night. The Chef from the restaurant did a great job with his succulent food, services
were followed up closely and a good atmosphere was in the restaurant. Definately if you want to have good food for a reasonable price just go over there as this is really deliscious.

Had dinner at La Pendine in Puy St Vincent last week. The location is good as is the dining room.
We chose reblochon en croute, which perhaps can best be described in English as Tartiflette with pastry on top.

It looked great when it arrived at the table. We were warned the dish was hot. So it was. Unfortunately though inside it was not.

We sent it back to be heated further. It returned 10 to 15 minutes later. It was just about warm enough....barely though.
We ate it. On reflection we should have sent it back again.

Other reviewers seem to have had a better experience. Lucky them.

Finally, given the problem with the food, I would have expected some contrition from the chef or management. Complete silence. Almost as if it were our fault.

We won’t be returning.

Initially we felt the property was a little old and very dark in the main reception area and corridor. However, once we settled in our room and opened the doors onto our balcony and took in the breath-taking view we knew we had chosen the right hotel. On top of this, the food was absolutely fantastic and breakfast was included in our rate which was ideal. Unfortunately during our stay the spa facilities were not working. The town of Vallouise has plenty to offer but we were happy to drive back up the mountain for our wonderful sunsets and vistas. We left a day early but this had nothing to do with the property but us having to move on with our itinerary.

I come 2 to 3 times a year for more than 25 years in family to PSV by renting apartments. For the first time, I chose the option "hotel half board" to avoid the hassle meals / dishes and household .... I chose the hotel La Pendine for its location near the slopes at PSV 1400 and the reputation of its local cuisine.

After 3 days, my children, my wife and I are rather satisfied with our choice: it is convenient to be near the slopes, comfortable rooms (although the decoration is very outdated ...) and correct restaurant without being gastronomic. For the price it is acceptable.

However, we will not return to this establishment because of the manager of this hotel (short gray hair, fifty well begun and bezel): this guy is as friendly as a prison guard, never said hello and was shown rude and very unpleasant during the whole stay.
It's decided, next time we will go to another hotel. The hotel La Pendine surely not.

Very well located hotel, perfect room, quality breakfast, glass roof is a plus, very good evening meals, excellent welcome. Taking care of its two- or four-legged customers. Very good communication with managers who are responsive to less requests

Comfortable hotel, very clean and warm. The managers and all the staff are very welcoming, taking great care of the customers. We almost feel like we're "family", it's very pleasant. The restaurant is excellent, the dishes are generous. Finally, the surrounding site is magnificent. Address to recommend!

Everything is good at La Pendine: the location of the hotel, the pretty rooms with balconies facing the Écrins, the friendly and attentive owners like the entire team around them, the comfortable bedding... not forgetting the cuisine as varied as it is delicious. The cooking is perfect, the accompaniments and sauces too, a real treat every evening.

Le télésiège qui permet d accéder à 1800 environ, en 10 minutes est à 100 mètres de l’hôtel. Guichet de vente des pass au pied de ce télésiège. Deux commerces de location de skis, l un à 20 mètres l autre à 200 mètres
