I was staying in Toulon and wanted to experience a French cooking class and explore the countryside. I can say this class was all that I hoped for and more. I thoroughly enjoyed learning and cooking along with Chef Rene Berard and his translator, Marion. We started the day at the fish market at nearby sea town then headed back...

Very nice hotel with great view of Le Castellet and pool from the rooms connected to the Spa.Spent 3 nights celebrating our 30th anniversary.Comfortable rooms (Turquoise & Peche). Very nice staff. Internet free. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of your stay for dinner at Jean-François Bérard's Restaurant. The Bistrot de Jef is also good. Enjoyed a couples massage...

Old and uncomfortable establishment, arrogant and unhelpful staff. Cannot think of a reason why one would make the effort to come here. Very expensive for what it is, services lack, building requires upgrading

We visited this area to attend a summer wedding in Kassis. We are pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and rustic ambience of this place. The breakfast was amazing; simple basic food with the freshest & best ingredients. Located up in the small hill & plenty of cafes, boutiques and lovely neighbourhood around. Definitely French!

Wonderful meal taken in the beautiful surroundings of the french countryside. We ate in the Bistrot a small but delcately chosen menu. The service was impeccable, extreamly kind and helpful. We also visited the gardens of 'the Bastide',which we thoroughly enjoyed walking through , enjoying the natural perfume of the flowers and plants (many of which we had seen on our plates...

I came to the Hostellerie Berard to participate in a 4 days cooking course with Michelin chef René Berard. The cooking course takes place in a true paradise and Chef Berard passes on his passion, love and knowledge for the local cuisine with humor and kindness. The dishes are both delectable and beautiful. The downside of the course is the...

Dear Nathalie, We read your comments attentively and, as you know, discussed them at length at a meeting in the Hostellerie lounge. I thanked you at the time for agreeing to discuss face to face rather than writing via Trip Advisor. Apparently you decided to write a review on the website anyway, but of course that is your right. Thank...

At the end of July we stayed 5 lovely days at Hotel Berard and it was such a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in the center of a very small village La Cardiere d'Azur a the cozy and laid-back atmosphere of the village and area as a general is in a way reflected in the hotel as well. As...

We selected their Romance, Gastronomy and Zen 3 weekend nights package - 1,232 euros. Our greatest disappointments were in the cuisine and lack of customer service. Three dinners, two in their Gastonomique restaurant and one in their Bistrot. Berard sent us a detailed email on the components of their package but no mention of certain key, decision altering restrictions: 1)....

The Hostellerie is situated in one of the beautiful medieval cities of the South of France but their "Reputation" belies the reality of the state of the hotel. The Internet was in existent despite their assurances. The full day (2 nights) we were there, our room was not cleaned, beds weren't made- something I have never encountered. The sofa bed...
