We'd rented a casita nearby so weren't lodging with the guys but stopped in after being recommended it by an Uvita resident. Super friendly, great amenities and a great ethic with regard to their environmental strategy. Food was good- the salads are huge! Would definitely recommend for somewhere to go, cool off, grab a beer (or something healthier) and some...

We - 2 adults and 2 older children stayed here in Cabina 3 for 4 nights in April 2017. The Cabina had a double bed and two bunks, all with mosquito nets. There was also a large fan to help circulate the air (very humid in this part of Costa Rica). Outside there was a small veranda with room for...

I enjoyed my stay at Flutterby House. It is a warm and friendly place near one of the main beaches in Uvita. I spend my first name in FH1 and the remainder of my stay in La Casa Abajo. FH1 was fine for my first night and La Casa Abajo was beautiful and spacious. Some slight downsides are the wifi...

Flutterby House is a special place. This is a true story: I originally booked an AirBnB apartment for my trip, but after stepping into Flutterby for the first time, I was so overcome by the good vibes, happy people, and beautiful scenery, I CANCELED my apartment rental and came to stay here! (FULL DISCLOSURE: My AirBnB rental sucked and the...

I just loved this place! Great food, the staff is really nice and helpful and the beach right behind the Hostel is gorgeous! It is a great place to hang out and everything is really thought through! I recommend to try the smoothies and to see the sunset at the beach!

We can't say enough good things about this place. Our daughter had read some info about it so we went on a mini adventure to find it. We did not stay here but ate here and our teenage daughter is determined she will be back one day and hopefully to stay and do some traveling throughout the area of CR....

This is a funny place which is full of american and european 22 year olds on their first trip alone. The staff is nice, but it's cash only and no receipt. The food is very blend and boring and it's a rather long walk to other places. But the placing just by the beach is fantastic.

My only regret is that I only got to spend one night at Flutterby in February. It was my last night in Costa Rica and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The Howler House provided a cheap, comfortable and safe place to sleep, and the rest of the property has everything you need - a bar, restaurant, shared kitchen, yoga area and...

I can't say enough good things about this place. My husband and I stayed in toms cabin because it was the only room available for the night (toms cabin sleeps up to 5 people). We loved the hippie/surfer/yoga vibe and general happiness flowing from the place. Great beer selection for great prices, delicious meals, and the best smoothie I've ever...

I love this place with all of my heart. I knew I was in love before I even came. The management is lovely, and their relations with the locals makes me feel good about staying there, and will bring me back. Amazing food & drink at the bar, love that you can just run a tab. Christopher (Tofer) was an...
