We stayed 4 nights and our first night we were quite late because of flights that were delayed and rescheduled. Everyone was great at this family business. The rooms were a great value, they were clean, had air conditioning, nice large tiled showers and for a budget motel it was roomy.

Such helpful and friendly family-were given a warm welcome and allowed to check in early. This was great for us as we had a bit of a rest before heading out to the beach. The owner showed us the area on a local map and pointed out a very nice beach we would not have to pay to use. Lots...

We stayed in one of the basic rooms for a total of 7 nights (we came back for another night because we liked the family and the food so much). The air conditioner and the fridge were really useful. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Victor and his family are very friendly and welcoming and provide...

We had to find a location to stay, because we had to cancel our stay at Corcovado Parc due to the heavy rainfall in that area. We selected several hotels in Uvita by our Lonely Planet book. Nearly missed this hotel, because our GPS gave us the wrong directions. When heading to another hotel, just bumped into it. Yes, finally...

A family-run very nice place. The owners are super friendly and helpful and Cindy's English is almost perfect. The standard cabins are simple but they were super clean. The a/c is a bit old-fashioned and loud but does the job. The food is excellent.

Had to grab a last minute room in Uvita due to the highway being blocked and found Los Laureles. As with most small towns in Costa Rica the dirt road getting here is bumpy but once here it is well worth it! The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. It is very obvious that the owners (family...

My husband and I stayed here on our last night in Uvita. Family run business, very clean, well kept, and very cute. Dinner was delicious and the service was great! Familia Perez Calderon were very sweet and great hosts! They also have kayak and mountain bike tours if you're looking for adventure. Can't wait to visit again :)

We spent one night at Cabinas Los Laureles on your way to our new home in Panama. We chose the property because it's pet-friendly. We were greeted by Cindy and her family with all smiles, which made us feel instantly at home. Our cabin was secluded and surrounded by the beautiful rainforest of Costa Rica. To top off our stay,...

We had a fantastic dinner at Los Laurels restaurant. What a surprise it was when we arrived to a warm, friendly greeting and excellent service by Cindy and German. The food was just awesome. We recommend this restaurant to our friends and can't wait to go there again.

Ideal place to stop for a short stay in Uvita, away from the more commercial offerings near the beach. Cabins are affordable and comfortable but it' really the restaurant that stands out here. Amazing food, varied in style while still being Tico inspired and very very generous portions. Cindy and her family are amazingly friendly and helpful hosts. If you...
