Semporna is a ugly place but you need to start from here if you want to go to Mabul. The hotel was decent, quite clean and cheap. Not far from everything by walk. Staff quite helpful. 2 minutes walk from bus stop ( don't take taxi )

We arrived late and as most people planned to stay only overnight in Semporna (the place really seems to be as boring and ugly as everybody says) so we were glad to come by this hotel very close to bus drop off. For 70 RM we got a decent room with hot shower and wifi.

We arrived to Semporna quite late and really tired, so we tried the first hotel we have seen. Obviously, it's not luxurious or fancy, but if you need to spend one night somewhere, it's good enough. The receptionist wasn't excited we came, but whatever, he did his job. Room was quite small, had AC, poorly working wi-fi, but – real...

We arrived at midnight to Semporna to go on a dive tour to mabul and sipadan the day after. We walked from the bus station to Mabul inn and during 400m semporna succeed of achieving the most unpleasant city award in malaysia! We checked the room before checking in. No sign of crawling insects in the bed but some mosquitoes...

Nothing fancy but it is perfect for a quick and cheap stop over. Rooms and bathroom are clean, beds are good and Wi-Fi is working well. Good value for money. Semporna is small so location is okay, but can be hard to find the first time if you don't have a map (since it is not located with the other...

I arrived in semporna and found the Mabul Inn pretty easily. The town is an absolute dump and easily the worst place regarding cleanliness I visited in Malaysia. The staff at the counter seemed more interested in going home than serving us. We walked in the same time as another traveller who had not made a reservation. It was hard...

Me and 7 of my friends are to Mabul Island for some awesome diving trip, thus stopping by Sempurna the night before departing to the Island and the night after we came back from the island. Our email clearly stated that we reserved 2 triple room and 1 double room, and confirmation email are replied. When we arrived, they told...

Basic, simple hotel. Great for a stop over after leaving Mabul (not sure why you would want to stay in Semporna for more than a night!) it was fully booked whilst we were there - good to book early as they were turning guests away. Well priced. Good wifi connection and a 2 minute walk to the long distance his...

Stayed here for 3 weeks and was really sad to leave. The staff are great- really friendl as well. The rooms are great value for money and the location really central. Had no issues whatsoever and will be back as soon as I can. Stayed at 2 places before this and all I can say is, 'let's not go there'...

We stayed at Mabul Inn for two nights. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms reasonably clean . The issue we had was the bathroom was leaking from the ceiling and any trip to the toilet ended in us getting a little wet.We also found a cockroach under our bed, although it's probably hard to keep them out...
