As a child, my father used to read Zane Grey books to us. They were all about the great American Frontiersmen and Indians and such. I allways tried to imagine what it would be like, sleeping in a Tipi. This was simply the real deal. The location is the perfect combination of safe and isolated. You really get the feeling...

We stayed at Lydenrust Guest farm for 4 days and it was amazing. I have (city) 3 kids which are extremely busy but I hardly saw them those 4 days! Alison and her staff are so amazing, helpful, patient and friendly. She taught my kids how to ride horse and feed the animals. I was also very pleased to see...

The children had loads of fun. The staff is really friendly. The house we stayed in was really not good, the equipment is old and dirty and the bathroom facilities are a problem. I cannot comment on the other houses on the farm. For the price we paid the accommodation was not worth it but you cannot put a price...

Absolutely perfect little cottage for a family escape. Friendly staff, very relaxing and peaceful in an exquisite setting with horses, goats and sheep roaming around. Horse ride in the veld was the best experience.

We had a great time, relaxing, walking and watching all the baby goats and sheep. Being a big group with all ages we all had space to do our thing in a space that allowed us all our privacy if need be. We rested soooo well and all our needs were met with smiles. next time we'll definitely do some...

We had a faboulas time. Alison and Nikkie are extremely friendly and makes you feel at home. Some of the highlights was the surrounding of mountains. The baby goats definitely stole a couple of hearts. The horses are stunning. And the fact that we could take our dogs with was an absolute magic experience. The house is big and we...

If you are looking for a real break from the hustle and bustle - this is definitely the place for you! I spent 2 days there and really recharged my batteries. Alison is a real star host and a very sociable person with a deep love of animals. Great MTB riding (Along horse trails). A highly recommended venue.
