Chose this place because of location and convenience plus good value for 2 bedroom apartment which was dual key single bedroom apartments next to each other. rooms were comfy and clean, beds were comfy, and the rooms were quiet as we didn’t hear any noise from outside which was great. Check in was quick and easy and the lift was quick up to our floor, only downside was that onsite parking was not offered to us but was displayed on notice in rooms at $30 per night, obviously only offered to those who booked direct with operator as opposed to other sites which is who we booked through. So we had to manage street parking at $4 per hour between 7am & 7pm. Wasn’t a biggie but still... Had a great stay and would certainly stay there again if we were going to an event in the area again, there was a nice cafe just down the road for brekkie which was great so everything around was handy.

All the staff were very pleasant, and we had no trouble with the apartment itself. However, the cleaning regime was haphazard to say the least. We were staying for a month. In the room, a notice informed us there would be no cleaning! Reception told us we would get a “deep clean” every Tuesday during our stay and we could request fresh towels or bed linen in between. First Tuesday, we returned just as cleaner left. We had to run after her to show the marks still on the mirror and coffee table. The second Tuesday, we were left only one hand towel. The third Tuesday, we didn’t get cleaning. They were too busy, they said. After complaint, we were done Wednesday. We left a sticky note on the headboard to clean three weeks dust. The fourth week, they appeared on Monday late afternoon, which was not convenient for us.Nothing was “deep cleaned” . The carpet edges were filthy. The washbasin was only wiped over, soap marks remained. The cleaning staff seemed at best inexperienced or at worst inefficient. The constant trips to reception to request dishwashing tablets, or washing powder, or one more towel, became tiresome.

We booked into Adara apartment Richmond as it was very close to Epworth Hospital where family member had to have a medical procedure done. It was very close to the hospital, small Coles outlet for groceries & a nice little coffee shop called Short Black Cafe - really nice & cheap coffees. Hollywood Hill takeaway food is also just around the corner having a really good variety of foods. It's a bit of a walk to Coles main shop & not quite so far to Woolworths. Unit was very serviceable, clean & tidy with kitchen having a good variety of utensils, We were assured that unit had been thoroughly due to CV19. We did have an opening with sliding door to the outside but no actual balcony so if you like a balcony make sure you book the right room. Otherwise a great place to stay if requiring hospital treatment & a nice walk to Fitzroy Gardens & the city.

Stayed here for a party in Richmond, was very central, Motel very clean , secure parking around the back that would accommodate lager and higher 4x4 vehicles. Walking distance to Bridge street. Definitely return again.

It is in times like these that some hospitality organisations step up and the Adara Apartments, Richmond is one such business. My partner and I arrived here to go into quarantine having had to relocate here from our home in Jakarta.
Candy and her team have gone out of their way to make us feel welcomed and cared for during these really difficult times. Everything we needed was organised and delivered to our room under strict hygiene and COVID rules. We have never felt unsafe or at risk at any stage and that is down to the slick organisation of the team and solid messaging to the customers. Thank you Candy and all the team for your excellent service to your clients here - we wish you and everyone at Adara Richmond good continuing health - you guys simply rock!

Horrible in every way.
No car parking provisions - had to pay an additional $30 per night, ‘if’ there capacity, of which there is none, unless you have a small vehicle with no roof racks. Parking metre at $4per hour and there is rarely a park anywhere on Lennox St as the parking over the road is Permit Zoned and the rare space on the same side as the Adara is occupied most times during the day - ditto along Bridge Road.
The bathroom was dirty and the shower was tiny with zero ledges for shampoos, face wash etc. The toilet lid is jammed up on the wall beside said shower and is SO small that the loo seat hits your back every other second.
Despite making a booking well over two months prior to checking in, they gave us a room where construction commences every morning at 7am. No care. No info advising of wifi password, reception number or what number to dial for an open line. I have never ever been in such disgraceful accommodation, anywhere in the world. Including cabins in caravan parks.

Adara is staffed by friendly & helpful staff. The apartment room we stayed in was very well appointed and comfortable. It had a king sized bed, well stocked kitchenette, flat screen television as well as a washing machine & dryer in the bathroom. The small gymnasium was good to use and kept very clean. Although it's close to bridge Road, the location was surprisingly quiet except for the noisy 6.15am garbage truck. However we have these noisy trucks at home too in the early hours. Many restaurants , convenience stores and trams are within walking distance along Bridge Road.

I was given the red-carpet treatment as soon as I parked my car and stepped into the hotel. Candy, the person looking after my booking, was the friendliest person I have ever met. She was caring, funny and gave me a very thorough overview of the hotel and how everything was going to work. Every time I called reception, I was always received by a friendly caller on the other end. Alex, Swathi, Shaun and the other staff, always answered any questions and queries I had promptly and always went above and beyond to make my stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely return and recommend this place to anybody! Thanks again guys and keep up the amazing work you do there!!! :)

Contacted this Hotel inquiring about an early check in due to an admission to a hospital close by only to be told they don’t do priority check ins. As this hotel would be used by many hospital patients and families I was disappointed with their lack of understanding and consideration. Rang another hotel in Richmond and found the staff was more helpful of my situation so booked in there and will return to that hotel again rather than Adara

Love this place. Will be making it a regular on trips to Melbourne. Great location! A plethora of restaurants, pubs, bars and shops are all only minutes away. The room itself was quiet - even though it’s close to busy roads - very clean, bed was comfortable and the balcony was lovely to sit out on with a wine. Had everything we needed. Staff were helpful and the parking secure. Exceptional value for money. Can definitely recommend!

We are staying for a month. What cleaning services are provided?
Answer from BaldricandBaddles

Hi Dessy, it is quite easy to catch the Skybus into Southern Cross station which is in the CBD and then catch a taxi from there, I think it would be a lot cheaper than a taxi all the way from the airport. If you travel light a tram is also possible.

We have onsite secure parking however this is limited, and we recommend you booking well in advance. Our Car Parking is $30 per vehicle per night. There are other local options including on street parking and a secure private car park 6 minute walk away.
