Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having had an onsite caravan at kioloa for over 20 years, I had never really given Pretty Beach a second look. What a mistake! It is a beautiful spot with good amenities for a national park.. Hot showers, flush toilets and good drinking water. Can recommend this park highly. $20 a couple per night.

we arrived late Friday night ( as usual after a work week) to pretty beach camp spot. We had a site #36- a nice powered site up the back nestled in the trees, but close to the Electric BBQs.

The campground was busy, but not full. The cabins were booked out, but we were so happy in our tent.

The beach is a short walk away, it's beautiful. We woke early on Saturday to watch the sunrise. Well worth the effort, and the water was so warm!

Greg the ranger is lovely. You can buy a bag of ice from his hut for $4.
Remember to take $1 coins for the showers. We spent a good $6 each on washing the sand away. We weren't aware of the need to feed the hot water box, but I cottoned on before I got naked in front of a stream of chilly water. There were lots of overheard exclamations from inside the stalls "paid showers eh?...... *sound of running water* arrrrrgh," amusing.
The woollies in Batemans changed a tenner for us on Saturday afternoon but I'm sure Greg would look after you.
$1 buys you 4-5 minutes. There was a family unnecessarily washing their children's hair in the sink. I mean REALLY? It's a dollar.

There are kangaroos all over the park. They are fairly tame, I have a phobia of ticks so I'm not patting any wild marsupials. They hop all over the road at dusk and dawn so drive carefully. Also - two lovely kookaburras nested above our campsite. Looking for breakfast.

Remember: it's probably best to take your rubbish with you, but there are big bins at the end of the site.
Oh the laundries are great too, but the driers appeared to be out of order. I don't use either of them.

We use baking paper to line communal BBQs, but we saw the cleaner tending to the BBQs daily, he did a remarkable job of the toilets too.

Book online for this campground. And if you have any queries, ring the ranger station and he will always return your calls.

This caravan park is inside Murramarang National Park, and in the beachfront forest.
We stayed for 3 nights in a powered camp site , and paid $28.00/nt for 2 adults plus the National Park entry fee of $7.00/nt. We ended up buying a full year park entry pass for $22.00. This gave us hot showers ($1.00for 5 min), proper toilets, gas BBQs , washing up sink with hot water , laundry, and rain water for drinking.
It was just beautiful , peaceful, lots of wild life around (kangaroos, wallabys, kookaburras, and even a goanna which searches for any meat scraps left out.). There were lovely beach front and bush walks. My husband surfed there. We also saw people fishing, and kite surfing.
The only Internet and cell phone reception is at the beachfront, where there are benches to sit and stay in touch with the outside world, or you can choose not to and just claim that you didn't have reception.
Will definitely be going back, and have recommended it to family.

The surroundings of the park is beautiful, but the campground itself is terrible. It rained while we were there and it turned into a mud pit, and when rain stopped the bugs were tremendous. There is no dump station.. closest one is 35 min away. Thinking that people let grey water out on sites so added to the disgusting stay. Been camping here for 4 months, stayed in a lot of campgrounds.. the absolute worst…so bad we paid for 3 nights (which you had to… WHY?), left the third night. Just not worth staying there. There are many more campgrounds around that’s far better than this one!!!

We stayed one night at Pretty Beach in a camper. It was clean with good facilities and is in a perfect spot on the beach. We enjoyed the attention of the many resident kangaroos too. Each campsite has a nice firepit/barbeque too.

We have been coming to Pretty Beach forever. This is a National Park camping ground not a manicured caravan park, there are however hot showers and laundry. This is the place for access to a beautiful beach, large level sites and peace and quiet. Try the short local walks to Merry Beach (north along the headland) or the Singing Stones (about 45 minutes along the beach and boardwalks south). The rangers are friendly and helpful when required.

My family hired two cabins for a two night stay for a nearby family celebration, and we wished we were staying longer. The cabins are located right behind the beach, which is one of the south coast' best kept secrets, with safe sheltered swimming and a lovely little outlook. They are nothing flash - demountable buildings showing their age - but have the basics (having said that, we prepared quick meal, but didn't need to cook seriously while we were there.) and the central location for the beach makes for a good holiday. One of those places where time slows down a little - bbqs, swimming, kids running around. As is common in these kind of places, privacy is in fairly short supply once you are outside the cabin, as the area is shared by campers.

There are 2 cabins at the Pretty Beach Caravan. We spent 3 nights in one of the cabins. Most people who stay here are either in a caravan or tent. If you stay in the cabins, you'll need bed linen (Queen size bed) and towels - pillows are supplied. We flew into Sydney and therefore had to buy linen/towels at the Target store in Ulladulla. Bring bug repellent. Even though there are screens on the windows, the mosquitoes still got through. There is a stove, microwave, sink, refrigerator, toaster and basic pots and dishes/silver ware. No spices - so bring salt and pepper. There is no wifi, but our mobile worked fine. If you want to see kangaroos up and close, this is the place. You can sit on the porch and they are right in front of you feeding on the lawn. Or go down to the beach in the morning where you will find groups of kangaroos. It is a breathtaking beautiful beach. It took about 4 hours to drive here from Sydney airport. Reserve well in advance as there are only 2 cabins - there's parking right beside each cabin. Either check in at the office or go to the cabins to find an envelope with your name on it with the key inside. Well worth the effort to get there.

This camping ground is well worth a visit...cabins plus powered or un powered sites...we took our little caravan and stayed on a un powered site close to the beach. we enjoyed a lovely walk around the beaches. The toilets are clean and showers only $1 for 4 minutes. Kangaroos were plentiful so don't leave any food outside...our site wasn't huge but we were stuffed in like sardines either...a lovely get away spot and well worth a visit .....there was poor phone reception and no data ....which for us was an added bonus
