Had the privilege of spending two nights at HZ in late June before heading off the Galapagos and it was definitely not enough time to absorb the beauty of the place and number of things to do. Remarkable hospitality, service, food, and rooms. Not having read the Trip Advisor reviews, coming back to the room with a fire in the...

I have recently finished a 7 night stay at Zuleta and can not fault it. My daughter and I loved the place. We were greeted as soon as we arrived at the hacienda. We were taken to our rooms and then immediately went to lunch. The meals are bountiful and mostly prepared with items from their own gardens and farm. This is a very old hacienda but wonderfully maintained. As others have said, they light a wood stove in the room at...

My wife and I arrived at the La Hacienda Zuleta for our honeymoon last week. We used the transportation provided by La Hacienda, El Señor Edison, who was very friendly and relaxed. We recently stayed at Zuleta for two nights, but would happily have stayed for a whole week! There is something magical about this place, and we are already planning a return trip. • Old embroidery samples reflect Zuleta's role in the industry. (That's my scarf)
  • A comfortable triple room (the boys' larger side with a patio is too messy to photograph!)
  • Fabulous roses everywhere! Everything is simple and beautiful.
